-
How much should this trip be on
a friday, late afternoon
im getting some really wierd pricing
-
thanks for the tips
they were not really interested in HH to CNX
suggesting someone local
-
There are many sellers on Shoppee, Lazada , Facebook Market place, of which a lot are fakes, scammers ,which is common knowledge.
But even the " Real " sellers on these platforms offer expensive goods like a 30,000 baht TV with a full Supplier Warranty, or so they say.
i would imagine if you bought a TV from one of these vendors and it did need service under warranty, the service centre would laugh at you if you produced a sale slip if indeed you got one from a Facebook marketplace seller or similar
as they are not an authorised seller.
They claim warranty is " Supplier Warranty "
Please advise of what is the reality of a warranty claim if purchased from one of these sellers or your experience with a warranty claim
Thank You

Further to that, ive been down the Caesarstone range road...
-
There seems to be a very limited number of options , at the even fewer kitchen companies, in Chiang Mai.
and yes ive seen the countless granite slab stores all around selling " the same stuff "
are there any specialist stone merchants that just might have something outside the usual , frankly boring product,
like engineered stone, porcelain, etc.
Thanks.

Thanks. for all your replies
the items are genuine, from real bricks and mortar stores, Boonthavorn for example
and im able to get, in fact just got a 20,000 baht item at the best price online anywhere, PLUS another 16 % off.
How the heck does that work...
-
I suppose it depends on the item, like always, but i saved 18 % on a Marantz Cd player
15 % on a 40000 Baht treadmill 15 % on a 25000 Baht telescope
and 15 % on 3 expensive shower sets.
huge savings compared to any other platform
i just dont understand how they " NocNoc " do it ??
the merchant certainly wouldn't want to cop that sort of discount, they have no need to
-
I have used NocNoc quite a few times over the past year
purchases from 5.000 baht up to 40.000 Baht, and more
Very significant savings over any other real, or online store offers, and they offer have numerous discount offers 8, 10, 15, up to 18 %
off the advertised price from the store you are looking at, on the NocNoc platform , all easily searched and bonafide stores.
never a problem, goods are always new, freight is usually free. Win Win...
I am just rather perplexed as to how they do it ,offering very significant savings.
Maybe someone on here knows ???
Thanks

i guess it was my mistake
i thought posting on the Chiang Mai forum might have realised comments, suggestions from a kitchen company in Chiang Mai, rather than Phuket and Bangkok
i hope to be able to deal with a nice " local " switched on company.
thanks all for the suggestions, experiences to date....

Nearly ready to go down the New Kitchen path in a soon to be completed New House
wanting something a bit more upmarket than the Boonthavorn / Homepro offerings
Designed the kitchen for the place we currently live in down south and it was pretty much built as we wanted,
and have "the design " done for this new one.
Homikitch has been suggested as one to explore,
im more than happy to find a nice smaller independent operator with a touch of vision and a top quality product and finish at a mid tier price
i dont need or want a super expensive , kitchen, some of which ive seen are just horrible..
experiences and or suggestions appreciated
Thanks.

Thanks sandyf they do have a few interesting ones in the sort of vein, im looking for.
Onestock ive already been thru
no stock, no help at all.
bwanajohn, thanks, ill drive on down there when im up there next as long as i can see the places from the road thru the crap air.
Tropposurfer, theres no way of anything " faux "
and if i cant find someone local in CM which would be surprising as its more than 10 X bigger than Hua Hin
i have entertained the thought of shipping them up there if needed, good call...
As the bricks are going over an existing wall on their face , front on ,the depth / thickness, is not so important

Indeed they are a lovely brick with a great heritage
but the look im after is more of a rustic farmyard feel and these ones i saw in Hua Hin with all their imperfections looked really nice
rough, textured and imperfect
just about what i want.
-
Down in the Hua Hin Area there is a small scale brick works place that churns out lots of pretty much hand made bricks
with the aid of a brick press
they mix the powdered clay with cement and its fed into a machine that waters it then spits out the mixture into the mold of what style they are making, boring to some im sure, but i found it rather interesting to watch, and old school..
Is there a brick maker in the Chiang Mai area that does make a hand made version bricks
i would suppose at least a few
this is an example of the brick i would like made
size approx 20 cm x 9 cm x 4 cm

Thanks Keith i've found them on their website

Thanks, those ones are the commonly used ones all over, the Mars Bar size ones.

Thanks all, after woeful experiences with Samsung, at home, and Electrolux here, ill avoid both of those.
Safest bet i can deduce is an LG , fingers toes , etc etc...
-
Hope its in the appropriate place to ask...
We are moving soon from Hua Hin to Chiang Mai
i require a moving company who can handle a pretty mixed bag of stuff
Inculdes
usual household stuff
Crates of pavers
Pick up truck
Numerous potted plants
Upright Piano
any suggestions, for the whole lot, parts of, etc
just want it all taken up there "safely " and a fair price
Thanks.

Mixed bag of experiences, thanks for the input
Has anyone had an LG side by side in recent times
it looks quite reasonable
Boiled Linseed Oil
in Chiang Mai
Posted
Thanks Folk, i hope its the boiled variety not the raw or refined
its for some teak timber and with this weather and humidity boiled is best for drying, the others would take weeks if they dried at all..
