The "Blu-rays" in the cardboard sleeves are DVD9s copied from a master Blu-ray. The "real" copied Blu-rays come in the blue hard cases just like the real ones and cost ฿450 (in Hattyai) I have bought both, the Chinese ones play fine in my DVD player and the Blu-rays only work in my PS3.

You can get copied Blu-rays I paid ฿450 for mine. It's Terminator 2 and around 16gig if i remember correctly. It's ok but it's just the film, no menu or extras but does have 5.1 sound. Plays on my PS3 fine but obviously doesn't work in the dvd player. The ฿100 ones are dvd9s copied from a master Blu-ray and compressed a little or so I was told (still good quality, better than the dvd5's) I'd rather pay $17 and get the real thing shipped from the US though. Same region as Honk Kong so no problems with playback.

True it is still locked to carriers in the US and UK but, at the keynotes announcement the price was stated as $199 anywhere in the world for the 8gig and in the UK at least you can get it on O2 pay as you go, granted they haven't announced the price for this yet but I’m hoping it's still gonna be 99 quid. Optimistic I know

I'd hold out for the new iphone if I were you Girlx, the old one knocks spots off any other phone i've used and the 3G looks even better and will have full office support for word, excel and powerpoint as well as PDF. Mobile me looks interesting as well (although $99 a year) But the new iphone at $199 is a bargin (not officially supported in Thailand though) I'd expect it to be around 10000bt in MBK and the like, unlocked if it can be. Formware 2.0 has already been cracked.

Oh and still no official MMS, video or copy and paste, but this may be addressed with the SDK.

As a general rule the iphone "switches off" when it overheats, you should be able to feel it getting warm (around the apple logo on the back) and it usually happens when browsing or calling for a long time. Can only suggest trying to keep it cool. Not easy in Thailand I know, try holding it just on the edges rather than cupping it in the hand.

As for an internet package (edge) most certainly get one, your phone bill will be shocking otherwise.

Funfun. You can use your iphone as a modem for your laptop but its not easy set up I'd stick with your other phone if I were you. Or just put your "as much as you like sim card in your iphone" and use the internet browser on your iphone.

Hi Hotnutts, The K790i does have the adaptor on the back of the phone. Promise I'm looking at it right now it's under a little rubber stopper just above the flash. It also has Edge and should be the answer to all your problems. The only thing I'm not sure of is if its the same type of connection your using now but i would have thought so. I'll post pics when i get home on the desktop (on iphone at mo) Hope you get it sorted soon.

Hotnutts, what's wrong with the SE k790i? I would take your old phone with you when you go look at the new phone and compair the sockets on the back. I would have thought you can plug directly into the back of the SE otherwise what is the point of having the connector? Worth a try I would have thought.
