About a month ago I bought my wife a new motorbike. Today my wife received not only a email from the store where we bought the motorbike about signing up for theft and accident insurance but when we did not answer a few hours later she received a phone call asking her to do so... The rate was 1,000 baht per month and if the bike was stolen she would get 65,000 baht, we paid 72,000 bought for the bike... It also included accident coverage. I told her to let me do some research which basically means I will ask friends their opinion and also post asking for advice here... I'm not a big fan of insurance to begin with and I don't think any of my friends have coverage... To top that off I don't appreciate what seems to high pressure sales... My question is does anyone here have motorcycle insurance and/or your thoughts about this... tia larry and pla...

Just wondering the pros and cons of each... Obvious concern with wood houses is the termite problem... is this a myth or a real problem... My wife said there is a material that looks like wood they can us but it is not wood... I'm in Nawa about 30 minutes from Sakon Nakon.... We live at the edge town surrounded by rice paddies and some jungle... I understand there are many of both these type houses in the Udon Thani area and it might be the best place to look... attached photo is of our backyard and the neighbors rice paddy.... I've been ;looking into a company called Area Perfect Home that I think is in the Udon Thani area for the prefab and they seem good quality, does anyone have any experience with them...... any suggestions on companies for either type of house appreciated...ps I'm sure my dog thinks the neighbors water buffalo calf is just a big dog... lol

Just wondering if I used a visa service here in Thailand how hard is it to get, how long does it take and what is the cost to get a 30 days US tourist visa for my wife... Good Morning All... I am looking for a MD that is licensed in western medicine that also speaks, reads/writes English. I have a venous ulceration that I need monitored. I am in the medical field and have been instructed/educated by my physician in the US on how to treat this condition myself and have dealt with it a couple times over the last 13 years. Currently I find myself in the position of having to have it diagnosed, a treatment protocol and the progress monitored by a western MD for employment needs. I would prefer someone in a private practice to avoid the long waits etc from the hospitals. I live in Nawa about 30 minutes from Sakon Nakhon. Thanks in Advance Larry

pretty much what i am having drawn up... my us assets i'm doing 50% to my wife and 50% to the grandkids (2)... they both work hard and are also in the ex's family trust from my first wife, which to this day is still one of my closest friends, which will have them set for life... my thai wife will need the money more...

nice... i was perfectly happy being by myself for years... i was divorced for 43 years before i met her and lived in thailand for 3 years before we met... i had numerous friends try and set me up, to meet women that they told me wondered why i didn't have a girlfriend or a wife and the answer was always the same... "I don't want one"... I never believed in love at first sight until it happened...
