  1. Take a VIP coach bus and stow your bike underneath in the cargo bays, no box or bag required. A full size road bike will fit, no problem for a folding bike. Smaller local buses may have more limited cargo capacity.
  2. MFA at CW has been undergoing renovations, the 2nd floor translator booths in the building have been removed. The lady at the 'information' desk on the second floor told us no translators in the building. There were a few touts hanging around the second floor near the top of the escalator offering translation services, if you trust random folks with poor English.
  3. If he has internet access and not in rush to board, he can book a "rent a ticket" from the recommended $14 shop. A confirmation email shows up almost immediately, and the booking shows on the airline website within five minutes. (my experience - one data point)
  4. Consider either booking an appointment at Khlong Toie, and arrange with a translation agency for quick turnaround. These are simple documents that they should already have templates for. Or take your notarized documents back to Chiang Mai and do the translation and legalization there. You don't want the MFA in Chiang Mai reject one of your documents due to a transliteration error, requiring a revised translation from your agency in Bangkok.
  5. My girlfriend and I will be moving from Bangkok to Isaan soon. We're looking for a reliable mover preferably with a covered/enclosed van to haul the contents of her 28m apartment to the new house. Any recommendations?
