  1. Ah, well that, is the famous Yaya, real name Urassaya Sperbund, half-Norwegian. I would bet plenty that as soon as the director calls 'Cut!', she spits out that sugary Nescafe garbage.
  2. I think the main idea is to highlight the police who heroically defended the nation with their sharp-witted and persistent pursuit of the evil-doers. If you read incident reports in the Thai press, the first 3 paragraphs list in detail, the names, job titles and ranks of all the officials involved, and only in the fourth paragraph do they tell you what actually happened.
  3. Borderline? Only borderline? We know that this has never been about public health, as shown by the conga line of people in positions of power flouting the regulations left right and center. To take just the UK, there is: * the Prime Minister (and a room full of party-goers), * the UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak * Scotland's Chief Medical Officer, Catherine Calderwood * UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock, * Government science advisor Prof. Neil Ferguson, whose report triggered the panic in the first place, * PM's spokeswoman Allegra Stratton * London Assembly member Shaun Bailey * Scottish MP Margaret Ferrier (who actually had positive Covid when she travelled) * Thousands of weirdos belonging to the environmental group Extinction Rebellion. Would all these people have been prancing around if they thought this was a deadly disease? I think not.
  4. The result, as with almost every new or altered piece of Thai legislation, is: Complete chaos. Chaos is good, because every tin-pot official can interpret the incoherent laws differently, and thereby put money in their pockets.
