This happens - the too little part. For the best part of a year I got taxis from A to B, say 200+ journeys, all within a range, but at least a handful of them the price was ridiculous low as if the meter wasn't calibrated correctly - perhaps your friend got one of these poor guys

Plans underway for no-mask requirement in Thailand’s public parks
mnomad replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Talking about those moving rather than sat on the grass - strolling, walking, jogging - most Thai, taking a guess at say 85%, are masked in the evening - Benjakitti. I'd say it's 50/50 with farangs. In the new instagram sponsored section I'd say its 95%+ mask compliance for Thais, possibly 90% of farangs too. Can't speak for 5am in any part -
Plans underway for no-mask requirement in Thailand’s public parks

>Meanwhile, younger, healthy people who would brush a dose of Omicron off like a cold mostly don't bother Possibly amount farangs. Take a look at many Bangkok parks and you'll see perfectly healthy, young, fit, Thais all masked, many double masked, whilst brisk walking or jogging in the open air with plenty of social distance by virtue of not being busy, the fear is strong here and ingrained by the looks I receive not wearing a mask (in responsible settings), I can't see it changing in the next few weeks.. Btw, police and park security aren't enforcing masks currently in any of the big bkk parks -
Love to see the mask mandate dropped, or at least out doors. Comical to see the dirty looks Thai's give you when unmasked outdoors - several metres from anyone - as they continue their day double masked. In some related good news the BA and Virgin Atlantic have dropped mask on-board requirements where not a legal requirements for inbound airlines, not the best airline, but if it applies to BA BKK-LHR route then they will be getting my business

Thanks guys, visited another office this morning with the MFA certified stuff and a tree worth of documentation, and got the same message, although this time it changed from embassy authentication to centralized authentication (I am a third party to the translation so might not be perfect) - so armed with MFA stuff she still said it could take up to 2 months before we get a date for an appointment as they need to send all this off again.. Messaged the embassy and they too have seem confused about this, but we are at 5 district offices within Bangkok metropolises that are all referring to another further authentication (that they carry out, unlike the certified translation, and subsequent appointment at MFA for stickers on the back and ems back )

Hi UbonJoe Yes, we did have it translated to Thai (stamps on front), and that has been certified by Department of Consular Affairs (stamps/stickers on back) The bangkok district in sathorn office has said they now take the step of authenticating it with the embassy? One office suggested it can take a few days, another up to a month (bang rak), hence the confusion here, not sure if embassy specifiy. The gf is adamant this step has been specified

Test & Go hotel stay with girlfriend
mnomad replied to Requiem's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Presuming you are referring to the day 5 and a thai lady not traveling inbound with you, then that would be somewhat risky, if you test positive then you potentially subject her to host of idiotic quarantine requirements by virtue of sharing the same space where in reality a self-managed self isolation would be perfectly fine.. An alternative would be to find one of the 3hr test result deals usually adds a few thousand baht to the price or at least it did in december -
He was informed by aq.in.th - is that anything to do with Thailand Pass?

In other words, another predictable data leak sweeped under the rug

There's a lot more to LOL at . Some recent highlights including on the advent of Thailand 4.0 and cashless society move - remove the ability to top-up with credit/debit cards with the exception of certain very limited monthly tickets. Require a foreigner to register a passport to acquire or continue the use of an existing Rabbit card. Still no integration with MRT or other transport tickets.. Not big issues in grand scheme of things though, not worth stressing over

I think technically midnight 26th, however the permission was automatically extended but it was announced the same day I left if I remember correctly, so I dont know if this is some 1 day no-fine overstay or some stamp for covid amensty - guess it depends on if the amensty extension was official before I passed immigration and secondly the officer knew about the automatic late announced extension or not and

Left Thailand from BKK airport on the evening of 27th September 2020, from what I recall, dead airport, no fine and nothing negative was said to me, but was redirected to another officer and he added this stamp. I would like to know if this is technically an overstay - Things to note 1) I paid no fine, but that's a common thing with 1 day at bkk I'm told 2) the automatic amnesty was extended somepoint during the day of the 27th if I remember correctly or possibly the day later but I don't think the word had propagated until I had passed immigration. Thanks in advance
