  1. Hello. Have you hired a lawyer? How old were your children? And how was the trial? What kind of questions were asked?
  2. Thank you for the detailed explanation. What are trials like in local family courts in Thailand? Are they held in grand courthouses where you stand at a witness stand, or are they in small, ordinary rooms? Also, what kind of questions will they ask in court? Should I just say "YES" to everything?
  3. Thank you so much again. This is exactly the info I’ve been waiting for. I really appreciate your help!
  4. The birth certificate already has my name on it. This is not about custody. I just want to become a legal father.
  5. Thank you. Are you experienced with these kinds of court cases?
  6. Thank you very much. I have a few questions: Did you complete the legalization process without a lawyer? Did you bring a DNA test?
  7. I have a good relationship with the mother and we are living together. There is no dispute over custody, and I just want to legalize the situation. Since the child is one year old, I think a court process might be necessary. I would prefer to proceed without a lawyer if possible. Should my next step be going to the court? Or should hire a lawyer? do all Thai lawyers speak English? If so, I will start contacting the lesser-known lawyers listed on Google Maps. Lawyers with luxurious websites seem to have high fees.
  8. This is the first case. I am living with my mother and child. We have a good relationship. However, since the child is only one year old, I was told that a court process is necessary. I don't know how to find a lawyer. I'm not sure if a lawyer is needed if I have the results of a DNA test.
  9. I would like to know in detail about the process for gaining custody of children under 1years old. 1. How do I find a lawyer? The ones listed on the internet are all expendive. The cheapest quote I received was 50,000 Baht. 2. Do I even need a lawyer? If I have the results of a DNA test, can't I proceed without a lawyer? 3. In the case of recognizing two children, would the cases be combined in court?
  10. This is not precisely the same topic. What I want to know is whether it's possible to easily obtain a one-year visa on my own without going through an agent if I legalize it. Additionally, agents claim that just a birth certificate is enough to get a one-year visa.
  11. Some agents have said they can extend this visa for one year for around 40,000 Baht. Is this not a regular method?
  12. age is 1 and yes our relationship is good. I am not legal father so i cant extend my visa?
  13. If I only have my name on birth certificate, not legal father, how many days i can extend?
  14. I have thai son, my name is on his birth certificate, but I am not married with thai wife, i am single. now I stay in thailand with Non O immigrant visa 3months, to feed my son. I found an info I can extend this visa for up to 1 year, Is it really possible? also found visa agency do it on behalf of me, how much is the price and is it legal? if possible I want to extend it by myself but i dont know how
  15. Really interested in 12month extension... but is this possible for me? I only have birth certificate(my name on it), not married with Thai wife or don't have custody as a father.
  16. As a father of my thai son I can get dependent non o , but its single entry visa for 90 days.but I have to go out of Thailand sometimes. Im curious, can I get that visa for example … 6 times a year without problem?
  17. is there online could buy Grandaddy purple and "girl scout cookies" with decent price? Also I'm looking for edibles, I prefer eating.
  18. Maybe I could get a 1 year non-o visa multiple as a father after finished getting custody.
  19. Do I need to hire a lawyer? Is it troublesome getting whole process done ... ?
  20. Child legitimization under 7 years old, I want to hear from someone who had already experienced.
  21. Sorry I was wrong little bit, It should have been called recognition, not custody. In order to get a passport in my country, I need a document from the Thai court ruling that I have recognized my son as my own child.
  22. I was quite shocked to hear the lawyer's price of 200000 baht. I read on another topic that it was all done for 30000, but that was about ten years ago. I think it was a simple trial with no dispute with mother. I am thinking of looking for a local lawyer in Udon Thani instead of looking in Bangkok.
