  1. Hi Dr Jack54. Yes I agree with you. I've never done it at the airport so for piece of mind I'd like to have it before I get to airport. I'm going visiting in Pattaya anyway, so I'll do it then. But thank you.
  2. I'm off to Pattaya Immigration tomorrow to get my re-entry permit. I've downloaded the TM Form 8. I've heard through the grape vines that some immigration offices only except completed forms in black ink while some insist on blue ink. Can any members tell me what colour ink pen I should use please?
  3. I believe this topic has been done several times...but I can't find the links. I am returning to England next week. I'm on a retirement Non 'O' and I was about to travel to Pattaya Immigration tomorrow or Thursday to get my Re-entry permit. It's a 6 hour return trip from the village where I live. I believe you can get this done at the airport? I've never done it at the airport before, so I'm quite unsure about it. How easy is it? I have to be at the airport for 22:00 hours (flight at 02:00). Will the immigration be open at that time of the night? What paperwork, if any do I require? For piece of mind, I have no issues to travel to Pattaya to get it, but I would welcome any advise from members who have got their re-entry permit at the airport and ask were there any issues?
  4. Yes, transit through Doha. No restrictions there. Airline (Qatar Airways) they only require documents required for visiting countries... so for England just a complete a Passenger Location Form 48 hours before flight. Flying direct to England was a good move on your behalf if you were unsure of what was required. Thanks
  5. Hi Bob. I'm from Rumney lol Thank you all for your valuable information.
  6. Thanks for your imput guys. Internationalism has got it spot on. Qatar airways only want to see a negative pcr test for countries final destination who require it. England is fine even transition through Doha (Qatar). It's a shame it's not going to be the same on my return in April. Having to apply for Thai Pass (even my thai wife) ect, ect ... I personally believe the UK has got this one right. Lets hope all other countries follow suit soon.
  7. Can any one confirm if I have this correct please. I am returning to England on the 24th of February. I am fully vavinnated (3 jabs) and flying out of Bangkok Airport via Qatar Airways to Manchester. According to the lastest uk.gov website 'NO pcr test is required before departure and NO pcr test or issolation is required on arrival in England'. I would hate to get to the airport to be told a pcr test is required to leave Thailand. Qatar Airways are stating to adhere to the countries destination, Covid 19 rerquirements. Can any one confirm if this is correct?
