Why are they charging 1,300? Isn't a Visa Exempt Entry stamp supposed to be free? Is this essentially a bribe? -

Hi all, My current visa expires on the 5th September (covid extension of a visa exempt stamp) If I leave for Kuala Lumpur on 2nd and return to Phuket on the 3rd, will I be given a new 30 day visa exempt stamp? Or do I need wait until after 5th when the previous expires? Thanks
