Having dealt with Thai officialdom since 1968 it is no surprise to me. Many military and police senior officers became rich as the result of corruption and it is seen as normal business and expected by the Thai people. A heritage of corruption is difficult to change.

The two extensions have very different financial requirements.
Of course they do and one must meet those requirements.

I did this change from Thai Wife to retirement by simply stating retirement rather than Thai Wife. No problem.

Curious to hear whether anyone actually got an appointment to get Pfizer via the expatvac site (and the shot!)? Initially, there was a discussion that appointments would be rolled out after August 10? Surely, 150,000 'reserved' doses cannot just disappear, even in Thailand?
Got my appointment for 17th August.

I have used LH documents for the last 5 years. The first time took they were not very efficient but subsequent documents ready in ten minutes after request. I supplied an example the first time. Statements were easily printed out.

I have used two accounts in the past for extension at CW.

If you did a report in person when the extranet for online reporting was down they probably did not update the online system to show you did the report. That causes the system to not let you to one since it shows you're not within the reporting window.
The local offices should be able to update the system to show your reports in person.
I was able to do a online report in June after doing one in person in April since apparently the office here updated the system.
Even though in person report at MT Bangkok and IO said can do online the online system still says I am Overstay and can not do online or mobile app. This is my second report after in person report. Bangkok is not updating everyone even when they state they did. Calling them did no good.

Just so Provincial foreigners know, I got my vaccinations in Bangkok already and both were Sinovac. The idea all over 60 get Astra Zeneca as stated by the government is totally false. Over 1700 elderly vaccinated with me at the same location all got Sinovac (I am in my 70s.)

Try 415,000 doses, not 4 Mil. Many news articles about it.
-
Just an note, anyone regardless of age that got their vaccination at Piyavate Bangkok in June and July got Sinovac, not AstraZeneca. Any promise to vaccinate all over 60 with AstraZeneca is false.

Bumrungrad, Like every other reported hospitals that offer vaccinations other than Chinese worthless shots, the registration is near impossible. The very limited supply of effective vaccine makes getting an appointment even next year a pipe dream.
-
Hard to understand how some got appointments while others (like myself) did not. Could not even fill out form.

Sorry to hear of problems. We have both TMB and Thanachat accounts and have had no issues. Got the new TTB app for the phones and it worked seamlessly as did all savings accounts activities. Our TMB credit card never stopped working and still use it daily.

Just used Swift from my bank to send $35k with a total cost of $30 plus Bangkok Bank fee of 500TB. Took one day.

Every house has a blue Tabien Baan regardless of nationality of owner. A copy should always be attached to the rental agreement. If a foreigner, a copy of the owners passport should also be attached to the rental agreement. Ask the owner for these documents.

My mailed report took 7 weeks to get receipt in the mail. I emailed them and was told just wait, so I did.

Not to worry, if you survive COVID 19 you can get vaccinated next year. Thailand will have plenty of vaccine after the pandemic is over. Great planning.

One of the top Law Offices in Thailand states the following as to the 2018 work permit rules as it pertain to volunteer activities.
"Second, in order to be deemed “work” under the new definition, a foreigner must do it as an occupation to earn a wage. This is the good news for many foreigners. If any foreigner does any work not as an occupation for no wage (i.e. working as volunteer for the benefit of general public), the foreigner’s activity shall not be deemed the “work” under the Emergency Decree No. 2." Took a drive around BangSaen beach area Saturday and it was crowded with unmasked people enjoying the beach and restaurants. No concern for rules there.

90 day report via mail
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
Posted mine 25 July and received receipt in mail 30 August. Seems to vary since it was over 40 days last time. Sure is a shame Immigration can not update their databases so we can do online. CW seems to have a real issue with inputing extension data.
