  1. I personally like beans from Brazil (Santos or Cerrado). They usually have a smooth and mild chocolate caramel taste. There a many roasters offering these. Medium roast is fine for me, dark roast is more intense. For Thai beans go for Chiang Rai beans. I have visited different plantations in the North of Thailand and consider Chiang Rai the best. As mentioned coffee is a matter of personal taste, others might disagree with the above choices.
  2. Coffee is a matter of personal taste. One person's favorite brew might not suit other people at all. I am using more than 1 kg of beans per month only for myself, occasionally even roasting myself. But because of the personal taste issue I will however not recommend certain roasters or beans.
  3. Another update if someone is interested. I did some more testing. Filter paper taped to the aircons can in fact reduce AQI to a low level of 0.10 within a few hours. The air purifier does the same and even lower within a much shorter timeframe.
  4. Yes, the first report must be in person according to my knowledge.
  5. Just an update. I bought an air purifyer (Xiaomi) with built in sensor to check the difference. Today morning without any filtering of aircon fitted with additional filter paper AQI air quality index 0.38. When fixing filter paper to 50% of the in built plastic mesh filter of my aircon AQI went down to around 0.22 on mid level fan, not maximum. The air purifier inproved AQI to around 0.10 on automatic mode, not maximum speed. The filter paper has definitely an effect on air quality it is however not so perfect as the purifier.
  6. The UK licence is sufficient if you are here as a tourist. If however you live here permanently must have to have a Thai license. At least this is according to my knowledge. And the Thai license it is easy to get with your UK license.
  7. Fascino has a few shops in Bangkok, Hua Hin and other provinces as well.
  8. I got the prepaid EMV card which is used in combination with the app. It is basically a prepaid debit card which can also be used in shops for purchases. The registration of the MRT card was bothersome but I managed to do it with passport and driving license. There was a QR code printed in the package when buying the card. The card can be loaded by using your bank app and a QR code within the app. You can use any Visa or Mastercard instead to use the MRT system
  9. I had the same problem 2 years ago. It was an infection caused by residual urine and prostate hypertrophy. I suggest to visit an urologist.
  10. No health insurance or medical expenses?
  11. The same news every year, learning effect is Zero.
  12. I also opened an account with Krungthai recently. Passport with 1 year visa, electricity bill and title of my own condo were sufficient.
  13. Krungthai bank offers a tollway card, take a look at this link M-Pass card https://en/personal/cards/cash-card-top-up-card/54
  14. I only drink coffee made from roasted beans. When roasting I usually do enough for a week or so. Directly after roasting the beans need a few days to release gases. Normally ever roaster will sell the beans a few days after roasting.
  15. I roast beans occasionaly as a hobby. I own 2 small roasting machines for this purpose.
