  1. End note: For those who think I'm moaning, crying, pathetic and all the rest, please, help yourself and move on unless you like loosing time saying nothing. I welcome constructive comments, opinions. Not insults or other types of behaviors which are useless.

You have posted your comments on an open fourm, which for the most part is uncensured, therefore you should not be dictating the "quality" of the post you require or expect, just because you dont like what people are saying.

Perhaps then you should read carefully the forum rules and come back and say something more constructive. I don't like free insults. I guess you neither. I simply brought up a topic for disscussion. I don't disrespect people specially in the topics they create. I don't mind people having different opinions, actually that's what I posted the topic for.

Indeed some nice and clever guy here on TV !!! Agree with you 1000 % !

  2. Ahh....The Land of Smiles eh!!!

Something very peticular about the quality of "service" and "hospitality" on these little Islands in the Gulf!! :whistling:

What a statement. No licence, never ridden a bike of this type before, you never know what lip service he gave them & it's always the islands & Thailand's fault. Get real.

Get real?....yeah right, about time this region and it's inhabitants woke up to the real World....but then..this aint the real World if you can accept everyday situations like this as normal.

AGREE totaly with you .Amd again : Samui is in Thailand , but definitly NOT thailand.

These little Islands in the Gulf have a mountain to learn..... about hospitality..... versus scams.

Your comments reflect the sad reality of what these little islands became in a few years, and people accepting these everyday situations

should take out their pink glasses at least one day in their life. Not everyone , certainly, but a n impressive percentage are either thieves, conmans ( woman) or extortionists .

It's improving since two years ,yes we got a new major, but so slowly that the tourist having their information on the REAL Internet , not only here , are staying away (look how empty are the streets in July...) from the islands and they are right compared to what they can get on the mainland. The prices here are absolutely STUPIDS and make the place the most expensive of the whole country.

Certainly too much sun damaged the brain of a lot of people here, changing the reality in a nice pink sweet and comfortable unreal dream...B)

AGREE 100 p/c with you . Samui is in Thailand , but definitly NOT thailand.

Was on holidays one month ago in the North , Chiang Mai,Rai ,Mae hong sorn etc.... one real dream : nice people , food , hotels ,

    roads(real ones yes ) clean....polite educated.....etc etc

And YES these little Islands in the Gulf have a lot to learn..... from the North for example about hospitality.....

But it takes time...... and they aren't in a hurry!

  4. Murder investigation after British biker is 'beaten and dumped in 12 inches of water'

Thai police have launched a murder inquiry into the death of a Briton on the island of Koh Samui after a post-mortem examination ruled that he had drowned.

Police on the holiday island had previously ruled that video producer Kevin Attew, 57, from Aldershot, Hampshire, committed suicide by drowning himself in a lake near the resort area of Chawaeng after his Thai girlfriend told them that he intended to do just that.

Mr Attew's body was found last Tuesday.

But after pictures taken by his best friend appeared to show that he had been beaten to death before being put in the water, the murder inquiry was launched.

  9. The reasons the Thais were so stunned by this was that straps were used. In the Thai way of thinking, you must have 2 adults on the motorbike, with the one in back holding the baby in their arms. That is so much safer than using a backpack. After all, human arms are so much more reliable during a sudden movement than rugged cloth straps.

Really ??? !!! Look : took me less than one day to see this , on my way to Nathon this morning ..... ;)))
