Theft of smartphones have fallen year on year. A key factor for this continual decline could be that smartphone security has improved to a point that it’s no longer worth stealing them; with Face ID, trackers, and fingerprint scanners, it’s now harder for criminals to wipe and fence stolen property.
Phone parts are expensive these days, maybe the thief wanted to strip it down and use/sell the parts of the phone.

If it's happening often, why not ask the wait staff "Is it ok if I sit here" or "Here is ok?" before ordering.

I don't have any problems with the site and I just checked it. Are you using a VPN? Or maybe your Anti-virus software is preventing it, maybe disable it and try again.
Edit; used Chrome.

The process is easy. I did it online & by mail last year. Just follow the directions EXACTLY. No fudging = no drama! I got mine back in 5 or 6 as advertised. Worked like a charm! Good luck!
After living in Thailand for over 17 years, and as a US citizen I've renewed my passport here twice with the embassy in Bangkok; zero drama, zero problems. Some people are a magnet for confusion, drama & problems.

Hundreds of millions had the same vaccine and they lived, just because a dozen people's bodies couldn't handle it doesn't make it a solid case for the anti-vaxers, if someone's body is so fragile they can't handle what hundreds of millions of others had, then this is thinning the herd, survival of the fittest. But of course the anti-vaxers will cry and whine as if the big drug companies were suggesting injecting disinfectant to the people...oh wait.

I have a 16 y/o son and there's no way in hell I'd let him out to some Pattaya pool party at 3 am, did you see the clothing the 15 y/o daughter was wearing when she was at the police station?
According the the Brit's facebook page, he's was/is a manager at a Pattaya Walking Street bar, you'd think he'd have a little more common sense and not put his daughter in that kind of situation after seeing countless drunks night-after-night hitting on women.

The Khasosod English article mentions a daughter, presumably Mr. Ricki and Ms. Mod are the parents.
Very confusing...
Ms. Mod revealed details of her husband’s statement to the police, saying that while people at the party were drinking until they were drunk, Mr. Igor began to make flirtatious comments toward their daughter, even though Mr. Igor’s wife was also at the party.
The Russian man then began to sexually harass their daughter, walking up to her and whispering in her ear that he wanted to have sex with her. This angered Mr. Ricki, who punched Mr. Igor in the face once, causing him to fall to the ground.... อ่านข่าวต้นฉบับได้ที่ :

It states that the Russians wife was in attendance so why would he make sexual advances unless he had other ideas !
Plenty of stories about private swinging pool parties in the Pattaya area, maybe this was one of them.

It's the Russians fault...with literally millions of women here for sale...why try it on with a man's wife...had the same myself 3 months ago but put a stop to it with a few cuffs around his head. Leave people's wives alone!!!
Many years back in my younger days I was in a Walking Street disco, I see a nice looking Thai lady standing alone, so I go up to her and say something harmless like "Hello, how are you?" and she politely smiles, then some farang that was just off to the side talking to someone else at the next table gets in my face with his chest puffed out, arms popped out to the side like he's ready to throw a punch, angrily saying that's his gf. I quickly say ok, I didn't know and stepped away. Some farangs are too quick to want to fight over their gfs/wives.
We don't know if the Russian was aware of the lady's status or was or was not warned to step back, had to say it's his fault without more info.

Where did you get this info? It appears only the Sun is saying he's in a coma, does that make it a fact?

In fairness, you are the one who started the whole false story on this forum that the Brits punched a Thai girl in the face and broke her nose
"This is popping up on various websites, is seems the 2 Brits got a beating by security guards after they refused to pay their 2000 baht bin and punched the girl in the nose, breaking it."
True, but I was going by I read online at the time, surely the news outlets have the time, personnel and supposed know how to follow up and get the story straight.

Security guards arrested after tourist assault in Pattaya

Pattaya City Police apprehended three security guards after a viral video captured them allegedly assaulting a tourist. The incident, which has caused widespread condemnation and raised concerns about Pattaya’s image as a tourist destination, occurred at approximately 11.36pm yesterday.Police Colonel Navin Teerawit, superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, led the operation to detain the suspects.
The individuals, identified as 27 year old Ball, 36 year old Tom, and 24 year old Ice were taken in for questioning and further legal action. These guards were reportedly part of a freelance group providing security for multiple bars, though they were not directly linked to any specific establishment.
The guards have admitted their involvement in the incident. Ball claimed he was initially assaulted by a tourist, which led to injuries requiring medical attention.
Despite this alleged provocation, the guards’ actions have been widely criticised as excessive, particularly since one guard was seen kicking a tourist in the head as he lay on the ground after being beaten.Pol. Col. Navin reprimanded the guards, stressing that their primary duty is to ensure the safety of tourists, not to engage in violence. He emphasised the need for restraint and the importance of involving law enforcement to de-escalate conflicts.
“Security personnel must act professionally and maintain composure. Their actions directly impact Pattaya’s reputation as a safe and welcoming tourist destination.”
The superintendent ordered a strict legal follow-up to ensure the guards face the consequences of their actions. The investigation is supported by CCTV footage, which documents the escalation of the confrontation and serves as crucial evidence. The incident has sparked a broader conversation about the conduct of security personnel in Pattaya, highlighting the delicate balance between maintaining order and preserving the city’s welcoming atmosphere for tourists.
Details of the legal charges against the guards have not been immediately disclosed by Pattaya police. Despite various rumours circulating online, the condition of the tourist who appeared to be kicked in the head remains unclear.
His friends, who were also present, have reportedly declined to file police reports or press charges, seemingly wanting to move past the incident. However, given the viral nature of the video, avoiding legal repercussions may no longer be possible, reported Pattaya News.

In this article the headline says "Security guards arrested" then is goes on to say "Pattaya City Police apprehended...", then it goes on to say the suspects (guards) were "detained", then it says they were "reprimanded" and lastly "Details of the legal charges against the guards have not been immediately disclosed by Pattaya police".
No wonder there's so much confusion around this incident, the news outlets can't even get their stories straight.

Due to graphic violence, the video has been removed.

So the American has a bank account but needed a stranger (the OP) to accept 1 million baht international transfer? Why didn't the American use his own account? This make no sense.
-
The Bangkok Bank (BB) in Central Festival is my home bank, I did an extension based on retirement through them several years ago using the Wise monthly international transfer (FTT) method, while they knew exactly what I needed it was the 2 hour wait time to speak with the desk that irked me. This year's extension I went to a local BB here on the Darkside a few weeks ahead of my extension and waited about 15 minutes to speak with the desk, I asked if I could get the same letters there or do I need to get it from my home branch and they said the letter comes from Bangkok, so it doesn't matter if the request comes from Central Festival BB or the Darkside BB, a few weeks later I went back to the Darkside BB, waited about 15 minutes again and I ordered the required paperwork and it came back about 4 days later. My extension was approved in Jomtien and now I know where I'll be requesting any future paperwork without having to wait more than an hour or two in the bank chairs.
It's been a while since I used the 800k parked in the bank method, and found the fastest way was to go to Central Festival before they opened, go to the 4th floor mall doors and wait for them to open, I'd be one of the first in the bank, get my letters, eat lunch then go to the IO in the afternoon.
As asked above, are you using the yearly 800k method or the monthly 65k method.

I don't understand why you just don't give the million in cash to the Russian guy? Isn't that where it's supposed to go anyways.
Just get a receipt.
Yes, if no one in this trio had any worries, all three gather at the police station (with your lawyer) and explain the story to the police and then you hand over the money that you agreed to do in the first place.
Do you also help out people at the airport by taking their luggage in your name on international flights?

If I had this problem, I'd visit the shop on Pattaya Nua, a few shophouses from the Roung Reung bus station, they repair lawnmowers, pumps, weed wacker/strimmers, etc.
