  1. Was reading today that the mono rail lines are at about 11-13 baht per passenger break even costs.

Why are the other lines so much more expensive to run?

Let's do some back of an envelope math:

According to Wiki here a Thai news article put 2019 Purple Line figures at 70,000 people per day. Now, the Purple line has only got busier - much busier since 2019. Cheaper fare will increase that number, too. 14 baht was the previous cost for a single station trip.  But let's stay at 70,000 rides.

Let's assume 18 baht per passenger and we have 70,000 * 18 = 1,260,000 per day which is very close to the total figure of revenue per day for red and purple lines combined.

1,260,000/16 hours per day mean = 78,750. Even if there was a 50% jump in patronage due to the 20 baht price, you are still short.

(8,700,000 baht / 16 hours of usage per day)/2 lines = 271,875 baht per hour per line.

    with revenue at

271,875 / 18 baht = 15,104 passengers and hour. To get a break even according to the report with 2019's patronage you are looking at 271,875/(70,000/16) = 62.15 baht average trip cost break even.

At 105,000 pax per day you are looking at 41.43 baht average per passenger.

Get more of the old red buses off the roads helps with pollution and better welfare for all citizens. Invest in less higher spec buses and get more people onto the mass transit systems. More capital expenditure for more rolling stock and meet in the middle at capped 30 baht. Let the MRT run with 16% margins and cap it.

Win win. I would like to understand the total gate numbers and the timing of them as well as total runs per day in each direction of each line.

  2. Just saw this. Glad you are on the mend. Did you choose to get a plate in your collarbone or are you going to just let nature take its course?

If you are having trouble sleeping with the cracked ribs, sleeping in an armchair might bring s bit more relief.

All the best with the recovery and mopping up the aftermath of the person that hit you.

    Price more like 1K.

The key thing is to find a shop that knows what they are doing.

Yes, a set up on a true horizontal plane and a skim is nothing for a well kitted engineering shop. I'd guess 1k wouldn't be far off the mark.

  4. There is a semi flexible tool to assist with blocked drains. I know them as Drain Snakes. That should be used if access from below is not possible. If access is possible there should be direct access to the P trap as you mentioned. From what I have seen in most condos that I've visited in Thailand, there is usually a simple suspended / dropped ceiling in the wet areas to allow access to the drainage / plumbing for the unit above.

    Good luck with the fix.

More nonsense. I said Tesla had been sold off. Last 2 years bear market. I dont care 10 years ago.

Sad there are so many that can't read and are just trying to score points. Wake up to yourself.

Oh, I read okay. And just pointed out your incorrect and ironic use of "cherry picked".

And I also gave you some very valid reasons for the sell off. reasons far removed from EVs in general. But you simply ignored that. Cherry picked again.

Cherry picking nonsense. Its tanked 37% from the high price 2 years ago.

Bitcoin far exceeds it over 10 years.

Do you even understand what cherry picking term refers to? Oxford discribes it as:

    /ˈCHerēˌpikiNG/
    noun
noun: cherry-picking; plural noun: cherry-pickings; noun: cherrypicking; plural noun: cherrypickings
    1. the action or practice of choosing and taking only the most beneficial or profitable items, opportunities, etc., from what is available.

Chacha boom gave you 10 years of data and you "cherry picked" 2 years of it. Tesla's drop in shareprice has a multitude of variables. Not least of which a certain high profile person involved that recently had a failed rocket ship explode soon after take off, suffering revenue for some other instant messaging folly and poor quality control and meeting deadlines with their car manufacturing.

There are other players in the market that now offer variety to Tesla and that is a good thing.

There are many other factors playing into stability like rake & trail, wheel size, wheel base, center of gravity, weight, suspension stiffness, tire pressure... probably a dozen more. Handlebar width is a lesser factor. Would have to compare back to back to get an idea what might be the biggest factors.

Agree with this, the other thing that I tend to see on smaller capacity two wheelers is the offset difference to assist with countering short wheelbase and twitchy rake.

Correct, I was notified in advance before I went to the airport.

Take that notification and the rebooking info with you and give it to Immigration. I am sure they will let you through. I was allowed through in similar circumstances albeit about 10 years ago. Speak with courtesy and rationally and slightly repentant and you will probably be okay without having to pay a fine.

I would also call the airline and ask them how you should deal with the overstay.

Bias? Latest news: Mark Meadows FOLDS on the stand in Georgia and implicates Trump.

    Seems he hung himself.

I'm wondering if he deliberately opened himself up in the way he did to give the prosecution ammo. He has done so without being a "snitch". Maybe this is the first step in a long game strategy of becoming a witness for the prosecution. Because he has done noone on the defense any favours with his time on the stand.
