  1. Thank you! Will go for it then (without the Immigration stop). Appreciate the responses.
  2. Relating to hotel stay - tight timeframes to get to Immigration before a hotel stay. If one hasn't had transferred the visa's over & therefore presents at check in an old (& cut) passport & a new one with no stamps will this be a problem? (driving so no air travel involved)
  3. Thank you - I went with @blackcab option of the Asia Copy Centre. Happy with the service & reasonably priced too ????
  4. Need to get some printing done. Soft copies on my hard drive preference to email to the print shop and have them print for me. Where would you go for that in Sukhumvit? I thought the Trendy might not be a bad shout given all the visa offices / immigration centres there but just a guess. Thanks in advance.
  5. Thanks you. Am using the OSSC - reading your reply spurred to action so just called them & suprised that there was someone on the line who could advise! Advice was as follows - come in the OSSC on Tuesday if it's not too approved online by then (& no fine). Yes noted re leaving to last minute, lesson learned.
  6. Folks I submitted the 90 Day reporting Online on the The ‘Notify Your Address Again on’ Date which is 6 December As of 9 Dec still in Pending Status. If it is still pending on the 13 December (which would be my 7 days after 90) would you recommend visiting the office, holding tight or any other action? Thank you so much!
  7. All - been a long, long time since I've been to Pattaya so out of out touch so would love feedback. Family w/e from Bangkok with the wife & kids - is it possible to shelter them from the girlie bar scene in the way one can in Bkk by avoiding a few streets? And if so where would you recommend as a family orientated hotel? Thank you!
  8. Well I was happy with my experience at Big Camera, 3F, Emquartier (Phromn Phong BTS). Google the specifications they will tailor as required.
  9. OP here. Thank you for all the recommendations! Providing an update... took @blackcab up on Eastbourne in the Emporium. However despite being listed on the Emporium website (as well as the Eastbourne site) it's actually no longer there. Emprium's info counter pointed me in the direction of the Emquartier the other side of the road to Big Camera, 3F, Emquartier. Total 180 baht for the pics & ready in 40 mins.
  10. All - could you pls share your recommendations please if you have them? Am after a photo shop where they take & develop for you rather than a booth / machine. Thank you in advance!
  11. All - really appreciate the guidance shared here, definitely gives me a leg up on this. Thanks folks!
  12. If anyone has done the research & could advise to save me the leg work well that would be greatly appreciated! As part of my Work Insurance coverage I am able to claim up to 12,000 THB for an Annual Health Check Up. A few googles have got me to the big name private hospitals (which is fine) but all with varying degrees of items under their coverage & rarely consistent I note in terms of what is checked. Also I should share I don’t mind adding extra funds of my own money either as required to top up above the coverage. Thank you!
  13. All - for countries in the EU that are still checking vaccination status I see the request to provide "EU Digital COVID Certificate or EU Equivalent" Is a Thailand Certificate of Covid 19 Vaccination & QR code (that routes to the moph app) sufficient or is there any steps that need to be taken pre exiting Thailand. Thanks in advance!
  14. Thanks all for your input folks! In response to the Visa or Master Debit card I find there are limitations as has been called out ie travel (especially when using a 3rd party Agency to manage on your behalf) as well as finding it annoying to have to type a number into a machine. BTW I did track down the Bangkok Bank option. They would allow a credit card as long as there is a fixed deposit in an account at their bank to the amount of 'credit' limit on the card. Coupled with an estimated one to two months for receipt of that card I've decided to wait it out. Thanks again.
  15. As a recent arrival here in Thailand I found opening a bank account with Kbank quite straight forward. However they refused to provide me with a credit card - their directive being that it was a Kbank requirement for an Account holder to have received 6 monthly pay cheques into their account before applying for a credit card. Keen to get a credit card asap! Any experience to the contrary where I can get a credit card without the wait? Thanks in advance.
  16. OP here... thanks for all the responses. Missed out 2 pieces of Key info! Circling back particularly for anyone in a similar situation viewing the post in the futue. Firstly it's my 1st 90 Day reporting - my understanding was that the 1st time needed to be in person / or via an agent (in person) before could action online? Not sure whether that is true or not but that's why I wanted to do in person. Secondly my visa is a BOI visa. I did just call the OSSC after looking up how far the Immigration Centre is (the OSSC had issued the visa < located at Chamchuri Building,18th Fl., Phayathai Road, Pathumwan, Khet Pathumwan, Bangkok. 10330 >) who confirmed I could do the 90 Day report there. Amazed how fast the process was - arrived just after opening time & in / out in 10 mins. Nobody seem interested in viewing any of the photocopies I had provided bar the completed TM47 and my passport also FYI. Wil still do the online assuming it's working going fwd though to save the travel
  17. For those needing / wanting to do in person which offices can we go to? Thank you in advance!
  18. Thank you, some good advice there, will target the above branches! Appreciated ????
  19. All - hoping to make as painless as possible (Have all the right documentation required.) Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
  20. Thank you all. Good call @2ndhomepattaya will ask that question now. Whilst I'm getting connected in the interim any pocket wifi / dongle services that I can use to bridge the gap?
  21. All - as per the title keen on the best internet connection that I can get for my new home in Bangkok. Not so concerned on price. Many thanks in advance!
  22. OP again here. Just now tackling the Thailand Pass. Any recommendations on what my family & I should enter in the purpose for visiting question? As context whilst I will ultimately work & my family dependents will be here with me it'll will be several weeks in Thailand before my work visa is approved given that needs to be approved in country.
