  1. I remember when the Thai government stated that economically Thailand would and could survive a lockdown. As they stated in 2020 that tourism only accounted to 20% of GDP.

Now its coming out in the wash that Pattaya is 90% dependent on tourism for its GDP !!

    As I always suspected.

Thailand is over over 50% dependent for tourism for its GDP.

  2. All hopes are that he turns up in a national park with a headache.

But, was he another victim of the 100,000 small kitty purse!

It does seem at the moment, that a lot of foreigners are losing their lives in LOS. Do we have another serial killer on the loose?

Is there more to LOS than meets they eyes of criminals hiding.

  3. You only need to spray a little cyanide on a vehicle door handle,  and bingo. It happens then or if diluted as seems to be the case here. It happens down the road further.

what is also interesting are the two police officers that died as well. They were quite high tankers.

Were they already investigating ! and stepped on her toes ?

Also, as a good serial killer she made a complete tour of the country and called on many people in different areas.

But as this has been going on behind closed doors for over a year. The RTP did KNOW, and they did try to close the box on her.

I expect they employed external help on this, due to the nature of the crime.

It doesn’t matter what country helped. What matters , is that sadistic woman is now in custody.

  4. I personally feel that they are panicking due to very low booking numbers. Adding the 300 will deter even more Chinese from coming.

This is a fear factor that the tourism economy is not rebounding back as they stated.

At the beginning of Covid, the Thai government stated that tourism was only 9% of GDP. This has since been dispelled as a complete myth, and the number is near to 40% with all service industries supporting the main hotel and hospitality industry.

Therefore, this suspension of the fee is another case of sheer panic to mother year of low GDP income and further borrowing by the Thai government to prop up the whole economy.

  5. There is absolutely NO way that a2 gate airport will be sanctioned into an international airport.

This is not Thailand’s choice or option to decide. This is a choice of the whole aviation industry.

I cannot think of any airport today that has only two Gates (not terminals), as domestic and international.

But no doubt, the oldies and grungiest ASEAN members will be googling to be Mr Meldrew.
