Sounds very much like the (around 700) decree that China instigated. Busting a $1.5 Billoon dollar industry on the 7th August 2021. Thus decree, effectively fired from employment over 60,000 online (English, American, South African Australian, teachers) foreign English language teachers over night. China wants some of the $1.5 Biilion. They are making regulation to instigate government control. Basically, wanting bribes for foreign language schools to operate in the country. Finally, all foreign teachers cannot teach online to this day, unless you actually live and reside in China.

I remember once landing in Bangkok, and having a banana confiscated from an emirates flight. I said to them it was likely from the Caribbean. But as a passenger, I was completely oblivious to its origins. I laughed so much, that they got shirty and angst. Interesting news, as this is a major tourism spot. Also the hikes that are available at the botanical gardens, could be considered as semi jungle, and the waterfall climb as well. This could pose a threat to tourists, especially those riding the Ho Chi Minh trail that runs through the park.
