  1. Black coloured ties should have the highest UV degradation resistance.
  2. Would the AC to DC inverter silicon chip for the USB ports also cause issues with the tester ? And the continuity check ( resistance) measurement ?
  3. Have had “walking pneumonia “ before several times. Whole family got it. Mycoplasma , i think is the name of the bug. Treated with 6 weeks of antibiotics to get rid of it. never fever, always exhausted, coughing up gunk, drinking guafenisen syrup to help clear the gunk.
  4. If i remember my relay logic correctly, you just need an interposing relay with a normally closed contact to feed the power to the fan motor. The light detector module output provides the current to the relay coil. Match the current type (AC/DC) and voltage level provided by the light detector module. If the light detector output is too low, use another relay to switch a DC or AC power source that is fed to the interposing relay.
  5. If hard glazed tile, and scraping with a plastic scraper ( even an old credit card), doesn’t get all of it you can look for a d-limonene based paint stripper. More aggressive is one based on NMP - n-Methylpyrrolidone. you must wear the indicated chemical resistant gloves when working with either. Many latex paints will soften with the use of heat, so you can try a hair dryer. Just don’t scorch the latex.
