    Google.

Tell him to type " Teaching jobs in Thailand".

I was hoping someone could point him in the right direction for the better sites. If I put in Engineering jobs in the UK, 95% of the responses are bulls##t, their's so much s##t out there.

  2. Does anyone know if you can get inside a Nissan Almera bonnet. There are 2 panels that look separate but I don't want to start trying to force them off if they're not supposed to come off. The reason is I have a mouse nesting in my bonnet. Thanks.

BTW, the UK visa is 'easier' than the Schengen visa.

For Schengen you have to go through the farce of dummy hotel and dummy flight bookings, plus buy health insurance, on top of requirements similar to UK.

What do you mean by "dummy hotel and dummy flight bookings", we fancy a look to Italy for a week in the summer and need to sort a Schengen visa.

I would not talk about how much I pay my partner or how much I spend each month in Thailand.

For me, that’s kind of irrelevant; I said nothing like that.

They want solid evidence of your assets, especially money/pension, to fund your stay in UK.

Also, looks like they need more evidence of reasons to return to Thailand?

No that's exactly what they want to know. Remember it's her application not his, if she puts retired, how many girls can retire at her age in Thailand. She needs to show how she lives if that is with her sponsors money he needs to show the monthly transfers and the amount.

Also, if you obtain a Non-O visa purely for a 90 day holiday and don't get the retirement extension then this might ring alarm bells if you ever want to apply for another visa (of any kind) in the future - the embassy may judge that you have abused the system.

Note that I said "may judge" - I'm only guessing but I personally wouldn't take the chance.

Their is nothing to say getting a Non-O is linked to retirement, anyone can get one. In the past I would normally get one when my driving licence needs renewing so I get 5yrs even though i'm only there for 2 weeks holiday. Their is quite a difference now though over the tourist visa with you having to have £10000 is funds.

This part is a problem for many, the rest is easy

Yes this is the part that I wonder about. In the near future i'm planning on working 6 months in the uk then having 6 months off in Thailand, then repeat each year. An employer is not going to give me a letter, obviously not retired, could I just use 6 months pay slips ?.

We had a Rottweiler in the old country and he was the kind that would bite first and ask questions later. He had been dead 5 years already and people would still call us before they would come over to ask to put the dog away.

Yes reputation goes a long way.

This is so true. We have 8 dogs, very shortly 9, but you should see how people's attitudes change when we mention 2 are Rottweilers.

It has spread to 4th mountain now.  (I live at the foot of nearby Khao Yai national park).

Very unlikely to have been intentionally started as began on really steeep mountain area with no road access or cultivation by locals.

Maybe not intentionally but irresponsible started, someone out hunting throwing a  cigarette away or trying to smoke out bee's, the back of our house went up a couple of weeks ago, someone after honey in the bamboo beside our house.
