  1. I can't understand why some people are critizicing this offer. Like it's been mentioned many times, it's for some people, and for those who come here just to drink and cause problems, it's obviously not a good investment, and they should just stay away from the discussion altogether 🙂
  2. I would like to see the video footage. I guess, have to choose male drivers, always. Whenever I take a motorbike, they've always been men except one time and fortunately no problem.
  3. That's how I see it too. The first warning. I'm not sure how long I'll stay in Thailand but was thinking that if I stay over 3 months, then I just use the minivan service next time, or the safe entry service if flying back in. The latter option is more appealing.
  4. Thank you. I've bookmarked it.
  5. That's what I think too. So I guess it would be better to use the safe entry service next time if coming visa exempt again.
  6. Sorry it took some time to reply. Departed from the Finland airport Helsinki-Vantaa and flew with finnair.
  7. I'm in Thailand, and came here visa exempt. The IO at Suvernabhumi just stamped my passport and said "visa". No onward ticket or anything else was asked at either of the airports.
  8. Ok, thanks for the replies 🙂
  9. I did not overstay. I went to the immigration office, they asked to see my flight ticket, and then gave me 7 extra days. I paid 1900 baht for it.
  10. By the way, last time I was in Thailand I applied for the 30 day extension but after that I needed a few extra days because of my flight schedule, so they stamped this big "CANCLE" stamp in my passport. On my way out, the female IO at Suvarnabhumi looked at it quite closely, and began to talk to the IO next to her about it, and was scrolling through my passport for several minutes and after giving it one more long stare, she stamped me out. Are they going to give me a hard time over this stamp when I come back 🤔
  11. It's still faster. No need to wait in line, right? I've been to Thailand many times and long periods before. Probably unlikely they would deny entry, but who knows. Just want to make sure they let me in.
  12. Thanks for the information. Good to know. I thought they were the same thing. And this will cost about 5000 thb? I'll be flying to Suvarnabhumi airport.
  13. Have to try it. I don't think I would have a problem entering the country but want to experience it anyway. VIP service 😀
  14. I've seen some people carrying a sign displaying the person's last name in it. I guess this is not the same service?
  15. I'm under the impression that they welcome you at the airport when you arrive and just guide you to the VIP immigration lane, and you don't have to wait in line, but how can they guarantee entry unless they are IO's as well 😕 I understand things work differently in Thailand but it's still pretty strange.
  16. I'd be interested in this. Can you send me a pm? Many thanks 🙂
  17. So those who are denied entry will only be sent back to their home country, if that's where they directly flew from? If I fly from Finland to Hong Kong, and am allowed in, and from there to Thailand, and Thailand denies my entry, they are not going to send me to my home country but instead, back to Hong Kong?
  18. I wonder if changing the passport would help? I have quite a lot of stamps in my passport but thought changing it would be useless if they can see all the previous entries in their computer anyway.
  19. I guess I would have to go all the way back to Finland, if they denied entry? They wouldn't let me go to a neighboring country or even further, like Japan instead?
  20. Thanks for the replies, everybody 🙂
  21. Hi there, I was wondering if I'll experience any problems coming back to Thailand, considering my history. I was in Thailand between October 2022 and July 2023 (9 months visa exempt) and then again between December 2023 and June 2024 (6 months also visa exempt). The entire covid time I was here in Finland (where I'm from) but I also spent longer periods of time in Thailand between the years 2016 and 2019. Now I've been in Finland for about 4 months. I'm planning to come back to Thailand soon and I was wondering if, with that history, it's safe to fly directly to Suvarnabhumi, or if it's better to first fly somewhere else, like Hong Kong, and continue to Thailand from there? No visa this time either. What do you guys think?
  22. Does anyone know if immigration there is as strict as at BKK/Don Mueang or more understanding like Chiang Mai?
  23. Just rent a ticket from onwardticket.com
  24. I'm in Thailand now. The IO flipped thru my passport and saw the previous stamps, and then asked how long I will be in Thailand, and asked to see my return ticket. I'm glad I bought the onward ticket, because this time it was needed. Anyway, he stamped me in.
