  1. Ah dammit this is my local bar and now everyone will know about it.

    Ok to fill in a few spots;

All the small size bottles of beer are 40baht as are a wide variety of shooters such as sambucca, etc. Buying a glass of wine is more expensive but still very affordable. Try the wine (glass) and cheese board for 250baht.

There is a seating area outside for smokers but there is also a smoking area UPSTAIRS. This is somewhat differently decorated and gives and indication of the origin of the name Fantasy Bar. If you go up another floor you will find out why it is also known as the "swing bar" - not that I know these things fist hand :o

Back downstairs take a look along the glass shelves running around the walls - there is probably the most extensive collection of spirits (bottled) in Pattaya there and all for sale.

Next door is my favourite pizza place - my regular is the pepperoni.

to the guys who think it is not possible to sustain this place and it is somehow a hobby bar destined to fail, don't hold your breath waiting - it has been around for a while and the number of regulars are plenty to keep the profits worthwhile.

  2. I use that Shell Station all the time. As they say, fore-warned is fore-armed. As soon as it's my turn to fill up, I ask the attendant (politely) to zero the meter, as I like to know just how much my beasty needs. I don't even take off the gas cap until the pump has been zeroed.

Never had a hassle or even an angry look. Is it my polite attitude and smile, or the biker gear while riding the Harley ? Either way, I keep a watch on it every time I go there (or anywhere else for that matter).

Probalbly because you look like one of the village people and they want our autograph

    gimme a Y M CA oh yeah Y M CA

    :o

btw I also fill up there regularly and have never had a problem either - mebbe my CBR150 gives me the necessary street cred to get a proper fill up at the servo.

  3. This is a general notice

This thread is governed by rules of Thai Visa. If you are unsure of them - read them here

Aggressive posting aka flaming will not be tolerated any longer on this thread. If you cannot reply in a civil manner my advice is to not post at all.

Do not make comments on government organisation or on court rulings.

Do not use nested quotes and then add a simple - "yes agree" It adds nothing to he conversation and the quoted block is superfluous. Similarly do not write INSIDE the quoted passage - it is confusing and misleading.

The use of colour, italics, and bolding is used to emphasise a particular passage eg a word or sentence, It is NOT to be used for the entire post. It is messy and makes it look like a children's school report not a post by an adult.

Putting flags, blocks of emoticons etc is similarly superfluous and will be deleted. If I deem the effort of editing too much I will simply kill the post.

This thread is interesting and important to a lot of us especially those who live in Pattaya - if you wish to see it remain open and to participate in the thread follow the rules.

If you wish to discuss this further send me a PM - DO NOT make comments on moderation or moderators in the Open Forum.

  4. Geelong has chosen the perfect time to flex its collective muscle, annihilating St Kilda by 58 points in a one-sided first qualifying final at an overcast MCG on Sunday afternoon.

The Cats, who sealed the game with a spectacular nine goal to two third quarter, won 17.17 (119) to 8.13 (61) to book their place in a preliminary final, earning a week off in the process. St Kilda, which came into the match with understandable optimism after demolishing Essendon to claim a top-four spot last week, now have to back up to play Collingwood at the MCG in a knock-out semi-final next Saturday.

  5. The Sdney Swans have found form when it mattered most, ending North Melbourne’s season with a superb second half in Saturday night’s elimination final at ANZ Stadium.

The Swans kicked 13 goals to five after the long break to romp to a 35-point win, 17.8 (110) to 11.9 (75), in a game that looked destined to be a low-scoring tussle.

They will now face the Western Bulldogs in a semi-final at the MCG on Friday night, while the Roos must confront the fact that their season is over, two weeks after fourth place appeared theirs for the taking.

  6. Collingwood, minus captain Scott Burns, has booked a spot in next week's semis after beating Adelaide by 31 points in a see-sawing elimination final at a sun-drenched AAMI Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

In a sometimes surreal encounter that saw 21 of the game's 33 goals kicked at the venue's northern end, the Magpies regrouped from a lacklustre second term to kick seven in the third and five in the fourth to post an emphatic victory – 19.11 (125) to 14.10 (94).

A week after a dismal performance against Fremantle in the west, Collingwood is now poised to meet St Kilda at the MCG.

  7. HAWTHORN'S premiership dream is a step closer to reality after it advanced to a preliminary final with a 51-point demolition of the Western Bulldogs at the MCG on Friday night.

In front of a raucous 76,703 qualifying final crowd, the Hawks took control of the game midway through the first quarter and set about hammering home the advantage to win in fine style, 18.19 (127) to 11.10 (76).

  8. I have removed a bunch of offtopic, abusive, inane and otherwise unacceptable posts. The topic is simple and reasonable - keep it on topic and civil or don't post. Not difficult guys

My personal suggestion to the OP is to take any unused pharmaceuticals to a hospital and ask them to dispose of them. The other suggestion is this, if you have been prescribed a course of medicine you should take the complete course not stop part way through.

Cheers and hope you have fully recovered

  9. Moreover, our cats are not the only ones in the village,

Sounds like the neighbor should load up on ammo then....

My advice to you and anyone who thinks this is funny or warranted - it is not. Several posts have already been deleted but no one yet has been suspended despite several of them deserving it.

  10. Crow Boy - very very unlucky for your mob not be lining up against my mob this weekend, I can't believe how much St.Kilda pumped Essendon by! Anyway you should do away with Collingwood nicely, but I think a Hawthorn or Bulldogs matchup will be hard for you to get through to the third round..

I think we will beat Collingwood but am by no means certain of it. Next week it will probably be the dogs with them looking to keep their hopes alive.

The hawks get a rest next week and the dogs have a hard week ahead of them

  12. Second public warning

I have edited a couple of posts to remove unacceptable material

These threads commonly become heated due to strong opinions of both sides. I am asking all to calm down and take a chill pill,

  13. selling viagra and similar performance enhancement drugs requires a license ie from a chemist/drug store or medical practitioner. In theory they should not had it over without at least checking your medical history and blood pressure

As per Libya 115's post above - these are drugs with some serious side effects and should be taken with caution. If you need or want them best to get a proper medical examination to establish the reasons why you need them. Brewer's droop is not a valid medical reason.

It concerns me that people including friends of mine, are scarfing these medications like candy without any consideration of long term effects

  14. Guys, can we please not discuss BGs, as the thread will just get terminated.

Sound advice - please follow it

    back to OP

The guys walking tough in a Harley Davidson Tshirt they bought for two bucks at the night bazaar and from a city in the US they have never been

People who think it funny to point a laser light pen into the eyes of a motorists/bike rider as they ride past

A Burger King meal that costs the same as "back home" but is half the size

Coming around a corner and finding a small tee branch 30cm (1 foot) before a dirty great big hole in the middle of the road

Buying two for one packs of stuff in the supermarket that costs more than two of the individual packs
