Sexually asaulting a girl is not comparable to the LBs larking around but if you a man ? feel you have been assaulted you could report it to the police and get the LB put in prison overnight. That is your right. Regarding the 'master race' comment which is both tateless and innacurate. Thais are usually reserved and humble its the farang who behave like an entitled master race.

But they would be checking at city hall not the bars

On the contrary Soi Buakao was incredibly busy on Friday night as was LK Metro. Bars and GG Bars were busy to rammed as it was at high season years ago. That was at 10pm +

But we learned to ride a bike when we were 7 and learned the difference between a ticket and a boarding pass when we were 17. Perhaps you dont understand a ticket is isued first THEN a boarding pass. They are completely different documents and used at different stages of the journey

You get a boarding pass when you check in at the check in desk. First you need a ticket so you can check in then you get the boarding pass.

In Your Opinion: What's the best place for living in Thailand?
Dominus replied to 2009's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
You sum up Pattaya like you actually know what you are talikng about. It actually has everything and is a short drive from mountains, jungles and rice paddies, Also it has several beaches. Jomtien Beach spills into Dongtan Beach which changes to Yim Yom Beach then around the corner on Soi 4 is another beach then there is alo the beach Cozy Beach. Pratumnak is a whole different green area with a lovely park and temple. The only people who decry Pattaya simply dont know the place. For Thai style there is all of third Road Issan Music scene.... -

No real night life in HH. Just depressing beer bars. HH has no energy. -

Pattaya. BTW I lived in Bangkok for year and never had a problem with 'the insufferably annoying waitresses and irritating hawkers and scammers' Its just city life in Asia - part of the charm -
Renowned dragon boat racers will hold competition in Pattaya

There is no problem! 'The city that never sleeps' is a cultural reference. I have rewriten it for the joyous insominiacs of Pattaya. 'The CIty That Cant Sleep'. Geddit now? -
Possibly one of Leather's worst books and a very shallow view of Thailand, Thai culture and bar girl cuture. Christopher G. Moore writes far better books about 'the life'. His Killing Smile trilogy though rough and ready has a great poinagnt insight into the life of a bar girl and his books got better and better. Leather's Book makes you feel you know a lot about Thailand but Moore's books make you realise you know nothing.

Great news for the 'City that doesnt need sleep' -
As we know in most countries the rules are not adhered to. Not true in many countries people are punished harshly and even in liberal countries people are punished selectively including UK where possesion is punishable by 7 years prison. In the USA black people are disproportionately imprisoned At least if you have rules on who can sell where they can sell and who they can sell to it is easier to control and make the tax dollars from.. Also right now there is nothing stopping kids from dealing at schools. Of course there are many laws to stop kids dealing in schools. The fact that the police here do nothing is an issue but there again has to be some sort of law. The police dont do nothing they are alway busting people for drugs There has to be some way of stopping Johnny from becoming a pt head. There are enough drunk Thai teens we do not need drunk and stoned Thai teens. This is an insulting and patronising comment. People of whatever race or age group can suffer from drug or alcohol abuse. Virtually every sentiment expressed in your comments is incorrect or ill founded.

Its been around for year and in moderation there is no evidence that it is harmful. But like anything from coffee to jogging if done to excess it migh tbe harmful but so is water! Canabis like all drugs should be just gently controlled but not punitively. There is evidence to suggest it might help with insomina, be a mediatation aid, help with relaxation etc. The banning of cannabis like the war on drugs a dreadful american influence based on corruption including the defence of the tobacco and alcohol industry and the Puritan heritage that runs through Ameirica. Legalisation has economic benefits that are enormous too.

A shining light of common sense and decency to the world and a massive boost to the Thai economy and allows the police to concentrate on real crime. Very impressive the way dope isnt being smoked publicly compared to Europe where its illegal. In England the streets stink of skunk even near schools and public housing. God Bless Anutin!

I have fond memories of Thai Sticks from the 70s and was hoping to see them again but when I went for wander last week all I saw was Genetically Modified American/Amsterdam weed for sale. A lot of the weed had made up names. Do those names mean anything? Anybody can call anything anything! Why is Thailand importing foreign weed? Or are they growing it here in Thailand from imported seeds? With THC levels of around 25% basically isnt it all just skunk - Anti social super strong herb which just nails you to the couch for days on end? In term of a drug like alcohol its like drinking neat vodka instead of having a beer? I'm pleased to see people not being punished for smoking dope but I find the Americanisation very wierd. Also its all green! None of it is cured.
