    I agree. We recently started an online Kumon math program and so far we love it. There is a lot of homework, but we try to do it. Most importantly, our daughter is interested and wants to study further, because the previous experience with a private teacher was bad.

    It seems to me that the UK has nothing to do with it. A change of residence creates stress, which, as you said, leads to friction. The UK itself is a specific and rather expensive country, which is clearly not suitable for everyone.
