What a heap of nonsense, try the food in a Thai aged care facility if you find one, I pay 11.000 baht rent per months, get hospital and doctor for free, cheap medication free train and bus rides, rent and electricity assistant, I don't need any referrals I can walk in any doctor's surgery without waiting a whole day, and many other things. My food bill is about 80 dollars per fortnight (about 1900 baht) that includes meat most days, I don't pay for water (which is included in my rent) and I collect 64.000 baht every month on pension. And also my Thai wife is 23 years younger than I, but I don't live in the rip-off cities like Sydney or Melbourne. I travel twice a year mostly to Thailand because I have many Thai friends.
