  1. what do you prefer, OC or RR battery?
  2. Hello Gentlemen, I’m considering upgrading from my old PCX to the new ADV350 scooter and would love your advice. When is the 2025 model expected to arrive? What color would you recommend for the ADV350? I want something that stands out and looks stylish. I also plan to pay cash upfront for the new model and would like to know what type of insurance coverage would be best for a scooter like this. For accessories, I’m thinking of installing a crash bar, two extra fog lights, and a footpad. Are these good choices, or are there other accessories you’d recommend to improve safety and comfort? I’m thrilled that we already enjoy a 30% discount compared to Europe, Malaysia, and other regions, so this feels like a fantastic opportunity to upgrade. Thank you for your insights!
  3. The Hatari model has an LCD indicator, which is too bright for a bedroom. I went with the Toshiba model instead.
  4. Hey gentlemen, I'm currently shopping for a wall fan with a remote and have narrowed it down to two options: Toshiba F-AWY60TH(W) for around 1,400 baht Mitsubishi W16-RA for around 2,200 baht The issue is with the remote control. The Toshiba is cheaper, but I can’t find a spare remote in case it fails. Which one would you choose? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Hello, gentlemen! I’m looking to upgrade from my 5-year-old Android phone to an iPhone. I’m considering treating myself to the new iPhone 16 with 256GB. However, I need a phone that supports two physical SIM cards—one for my prepaid SIM in Europe and another for my Thai True prepaid SIM card. Does the iPhone 16 support this setup? If not, is it possible to get a prepaid eSIM from True in Thailand? If so, how does that process work? Also, would switching to the iPhone be a good choice for me? I often make movies at night and need a phone with an excellent camera and great stabilization. Would the iPhone 16 meet these needs, or should I consider something else? Thank you in advance for your advice!
  6. Hey everyone, I recently helped someone open a bank account, and the process has become noticeably more intrusive. They now ask questions like whether you have a U.S. phone number, friends in the U.S., or property in America. On top of that, they dig into details about your time spent in the U.S., residency status, or whether you hold a green card. It feels like there’s an increasing effort to track U.S. persons, potentially to make it harder for them to access services—or even to outright reject them. Do you ever feel like the system is treating you like a pariah?
  7. Hey everyone! Has anyone else had trouble opening a bank account in Thailand? Even my Thai girlfriend was asked if she's a U.S. person—whether she has a U.S. passport, a green card, or has spent more than three months in the U.S. It’s crazy because she’s never left Thailand in her life! We think it might have been because I was with her when she applied, and they said no bank account for her if she’s "linked" to FATCA. For me, it's a bit easier since I'm not a U.S. person anymore. I gave up my green card because it was causing me so many problems. I couldn't invest in crypto or manage my portfolio properly. After sending it back, I returned to Thailand with a huge sigh of relief. But even now, European banks still ask if I’m a U.S. person. What’s your experience in Thailand with this?
  8. Hey everyone, I've been checking out mattresses for sale on Lazada and Shopee Thailand. I'm looking at brands like Woodfield and Lotus in the 6,000 to 7,000 baht range. I prefer a mattress that's not too hard, but I know that in Thailand, they tend to like very firm mattresses that feel almost like a rock! Does anyone have suggestions for a good brand or model that might suit my preference for something softer? Thanks!
  9. I saw on Lazada a SIM card plan by : Angel/Melon that offers unlimited data at 15 Mbps for 12 months. The cost is around 1,690 baht for the entire year. I plan to use it for my phone and as a hotspot to watch YouTube on my tablet. Has anyone tried this plan? Is it worth it?
  10. They closed all my accounts after writing them (took 3 weeks) and they have sent me a check to my adress in europe, Now dealing with my EU bank to cash out. Never again I will deal with BOA.
  11. Hi everyone, I'm looking for the best way to update my information with Bank of America while I'm in Thailand. I don't have access to a US phone. I have money in the US that I need to transfer, but even after sending a registrated mail with copies of my passport, they only closed 2 out of my 3 accounts and didn’t complete the transfer. How do you all handle this situation? Thanks for your help!
  12. Hi, I noticed that JIB Thailand has some great deals on PC computer sets, featuring options like Intel or AMD processors for around $700-$800, including a screen. These PCs come pre-assembled and you can get configurations with 4060 or 4070 graphics cards, and 16GB or 32GB of RAM. You can choose between different Intel or AMD setups, and there are several case designs available as well. Additionally, they offer a discount if you purchase a screen along with the PC. I found a setup with a 4060 graphics card, an Intel i5 12400F processor, 16GB of RAM, a case, and a screen for 29,000 baht. Has anyone had experience with JIB Thailand? Are their products and services reliable? Thanks,
  13. not at all, 400w/h if you set it up to max temp (32degree). My bill is very low for 12000btu. I estimated 2 baht/hour
  14. I've calculated my daily usage for April at 14kW, factoring in one air conditioner, two fridges, and LED lighting. My plan involves installing 7 Era panels, each with a capacity of 450 watts, along with a Sofar inverter, giving a total output of 3.3kW. I won't initially include a battery and will depend on the grid for nighttime power. The combined cost for the panels and inverter is 30,000 baht (purchased from Lazada), with additional expenses for cables and fixtures totaling 40,000 baht. Since my neighbor constructed my roof, I believe they can assist with panel installation. I also intend to hire an electrician for mounting fuses and breakers, with an estimated cost of 6,000 baht inclusive of equipment. This brings the total anticipated expense to 50,000 baht, a significant saving compared to the initial estimate of 140,000 baht. Considering potential future upgrades, I may integrate a 5kW battery into the system. Do you think this addition would be feasible given my current setup? What are your thoughts on this plan?
