Yeah I had to comply in the end, and produced the papers. Got the finer installed the next day, so that’s better than the western world. just strange that after 3 years of being a customer, they still don’t trust me to open a new line. I guess it’s just one of those quirks.

Oh and by the way, they said I could not add my additional services to the existing account. Is this just a way for them to add provisions? Or is True not homogenised enough to work together in central and northern Thailand?

I’ve been using True in my condo for the last three years and am currently looking for a second fibre connection for a house as well as a 4G/5G router. So I went to the shop today and they said I needed a printed copy of my passport, work permit and the whole deal. Didn’t matter if I already was a customer. Did I just luck out with my customer «service» rep or is this just the way it is?

I’ve used Grammarly for the past 3-4 years, and I think it does the job very well. It will check your spelling and grammar and recommend changes to sentences to match the audience. It’s not cheap, though, at 12 USD a month, but for me, it’s worth it to use it for both work and private purposes. It’s saved me from looking bad many times. The AI sentence engine is very AI-ish though so it will not look good if you fall for all of the suggestions it comes with.

I was thinking about setting up a trust fund for my girlfriend’s niece to get her off to a good start when the time comes. I’ve checked a bit and it seems the only way is for her parents or guardian to control a savings account. I specifically want a trust account cause I don’t trust her parents to fare well with that account, and better she’s in full control when she turns 18. Have anyone else done something similar in Thailand? Any banks who offer a similar service or account as a trust account where the child is the custodian but cannot withdraw until a certain age?

I've been searching for an shared office space for rent in Hua Hin, I guess most of you living and working in HH have a home office setup but I prefer having this separated. Does anyone know of a share office in HH? I see there's no Starbucks with community rooms in HH, and there's no WeWork or equivalent as far as I see. Is there no demand?
