I bought a Vigo 2 wd last year and plan to raise its suspension and mount bigger tires so it will look like a prerunner I didn’t buy the prerunner because I did not want the 3.0 engine but a 2.5 ic and also a prerunner has no airbags.

Does anybody have a idea what this upgrade will cost and also is it a good thing to do or better do only the tires ?

I am not a expert but it seems that there is someting wrong whit the DNS from Tot and Maxnet .

As I was not even able to access my internet banking website today because the poor international internet connections today i did the following thing:

i setup a vpn connection whit a friends router back in my home country (Holland) and now the connection is a bit slower of course but i am able to access all websites also youtube because i am using my friends dutch gateway.

I know not everyone has a friend back home whit a vpn open for them but the ones who do might be happy whit this trick.

made a mistake in my last post .

you can fill in the visa nr on the arrivel card and not the kind of visa.

So if you don't fill in this visa nr like i did you get the 30 day on arrivel visa from 30 days.

if you do fill in the visa nr they will look in you passport for the non im visa and you get the 90 days

We just got a letter from the ind 2 weeks ago ( no message from the embassy yet ) that my gf will get her tourist visa for Holland. The ind needed 9 months for that. the embassy did send it to the ind and the ind rejected it in first time because they where not sure my gf would turn back home after her viset to Holland after my complains they where over time whit there decision. After that I complained and tread whit a appeal because we did attach documents that prove she will turn back to thailand and then they finally did give us the visa . Always complain when they over there time because they where never in time in my case. Also inform the ombudsman when the ind is to late whit there answers (it seems to make them know you are Serious ).

I did not guarantee for her but we did show the 34 euro a day. ( she will go 14 days so we had to show around 20,000 thb in the bankbook).

not forget to setup the ip adress from both computer static else they will not "see" eachother

USB to USB is possible but very hard to find, a better solution would be to get a CAT5 Lan Crossover cable to network the computers, at least this way you'd get a minimum of 100mbps transfer rate. Or buy a external enclosure for a 2.5inch drive and pop your laptops old drive in there and hook it up to the new computer then just drag & drop as nessecary. Hope this helps.

yes, you can go into Myanmar by yourself.

There is a schedule of fees posted at the Myanmar border crossing.

The main supervisor there speaks good English. You pay a certain amount (in thai baht) depending on how many days you want to stay in Myanmar.

You are restricted to certain areas in the north.

You cannot go to Yangon from TaChiLek.

My experience is that there is nothing to do in Burma (at least this part) except visiting the Buddhist monuments and a little shopping under the bridge at Mae Sai.

There are no good restaurants.

The only reason I can imagine anyone would want to stay in Northern longer than the one-day visa run is to visit the gem mining areas or some other sort of professional business.

If you go back before you pay your 500B then you won`t have your entry and exit stamps from Myanmar. If you don`t have them you will be stranded in no mans land. The Thais will not let you back in until you obtain them.

Are you sure you`ve done visa runs before?

The transport office in pattya

will be the same place where you have to check your car and motorbike evry year. Just ask some thais around they will know where it is.

Lets say you take the 30 year lease route, build your own house on the land. Then after 5 years you want to sell the house.

What would happen?

Obviously you need a break clause written into the lease.

But other than that, would the remainder of the lease be transferable, or what?

I bought a piece of land that is 80 cm lower than the road because of this I was thinking to raise the ground whit 1meter so that I never have problems whit raining water from the road.

Some people told me I have to build a wall around the ground first than fill up the land and after this wait a year to let the ground settle. If your don’t do this the walls from the house will crack . because the ground will move under the house.

Some other people told me if u have a good foundation this 1 year waiting is not necessary .

And what is a normal price to make a wall around the land from 25meter by 28 meter. The wall will be 1 meter to hold the ground and a 1.5 meter more above the ground. ( they offered me 2000 thb a meter )

And as last what is a normal price for the 25x 28 x 1 = 700 m3 sand to fill up the land. ( got a offer of 65,000 thb )

I just found a land deal that is decent in Bang sarae that is 700,000 baht for 345 sq. wah & was wondering what the transfer of title & taxes will be on the land?

I heard it was 11% but I am not sure if this is the correct percentage?

You can extend any non immigrant visa.

You must prove income first to your Embassy so best to ask them. Immigration will likely accept same type paperwork. For Americans who do not use paperwork at Embassy that will mean some type of supporting evidence such as letter/statement from employer, tax records or such from home country.

I have a Non-B Visa at the moment until okt 2007. Plan to marry whit my Thai gf in april. Can I get a extension on my non-B visa based on the marriage or do I need to get a new non-o visa at the embassy first ?

Has anybody any experience whit a Nissan BigM 2.7 Di pickup ?

I have a change to buy one from 2001 also i can buy for 40k more a toyota Tiger D4D.

I rent a tiger D4D before and it was a good experience bit noisy but that is ok for me, the fuel consumption was ok.

I had a Nissan teranno II in Holland before whit a 2.7 TDI but that one was using more diesel than the Toyota D4D did.

Now i think this Nissan who is a DI will not use as much as my teranno did but i would like to know for sure before i make a choice.

Setup your dns Static for exaple to 194.151.228.18 / 194.151.228.34 this are dutch kpn dns servers and google.com works again !

Here some more dns servers ( all from Holland same as me 555 ) maybe from some people others work out better. i think it might be better if evryone use a random pair of dns servers from this list.

setup my dns static and it works oke now. i use dutch KPN dns servers ( 194.151.288.18 / 194.151.288.34 ) but you can use any other you know.
