  1. Ah, and with self appointed English language teachers hardly able to speak or know about grammar rules it works better? Wake up mate 🧑‍🎄 There have to be only English language teachers with a University degree obtained in teaching ( didactics eg) as a minimum of requirements.🧑‍🎄
  2. Sure, bad luck. Leucaemia doesn't come over night. But anyway the situation in small Thai hospitals could be stressful. It's well known that you have to come with clothes or bedsheets and that you have to share the room with males or females even. Family members will assist you and stay the night on a mattress under your bed. Good that he has friends here and in UK to help him out to pay the bills. It's good to publish this case in order to push people/visitors to have a proper insurance.🧑‍🎄
  3. Yes, and also get rid of farangs without qualification but pretending to be a teacher🌲
  4. Carrying 200.000 Baht in his pockets??? I can't believe it🧑‍🎄🧑‍🎄🧑‍🎄
  5. A pH lower than 5 might be various reasons even an indication of renal dysfunction......🧑‍🎄
  6. Well, this is far away from what I mentioned. So in your case I agree.
  7. "You can check out any time you like But you can never leave!"...🥳
  8. Oh, really? Thank you

A friend of mine who was fed up with aseannow and unsubscribed asked me if there is still a mod called Rooster, writing Sunday columns? Because it was before my time here I can't answer.😳
  10. That's true and a shame. In EU it's a must in highschool to chose at least 2 foreign languages. I got 9 years Latin plus English (living in Ireland half of my life), but later was able to learn Italian and Spanish language easily.
  11. If you replace aptitude by lazyness, or disrespect of your host country, or a "I don't care" attitude, then I agree.
  12. 😂😂😂You tried to avoid giving an answer to the topic. 🤣🤣🤣
  13. Thank you for your kind reply. Obviously a speechless, happy, non grumpy man😂😂😂
  14. Well, I suppose your standard of obtaining qualifications are different from those here in Thailand? Compare it with a situation to teach Thai in US eg. To teach basic English is not rocket science. So I think it's better to have an English teacher than to have none. Btw. I reckon your ability in speaking Thai is on the lowest level? Just asking for a friend🧑‍🎄🌲😂
  15. Thank you to agree with me. However, as someone in a foreign country you should speak that language, at least quite a bit, in particular when living permanently in that country. So do many non native speakers when entering US or UK. And....the main language in your desired destiny - if it's Thailand - is Thai language. And why Thais should not expect you to speak Thai when you expect foreigners visiting your country speaking English?🧑‍🎄
  16. What about your ability speaking Thai???🧑‍🎄 To be honest I expect it will get better with English as fast as Thai culture and society will change. And if you look at the protests of University's students the I've no doubts this change is on the move
  17. Well, as a farang your kids should be better educated in a private school. However, I see many fathering young girls and not being able to give the kids adaquate education as they got (hopefully) because of lack of money. As I realised the education in private schools is relatively good when it comes to English or Maths or science.
  18. You're talking about AUS in particular???? That's not the West I know.
  19. I'm more on the optimistic side. I realised University's students speak English a bit, at least are able to read. If doing research on internet many abstracts eg are in English. But I admit it's a longer way to go. Sometimes it comes to my mind what might be the percentage of Thai speaking farangs. Or how many people in UK or US speak another language?
  20. Taurine occurs naturally in foods with protein, such as meat or fish. The human body uses taurine for actions in cells. One example is that taurine is used for energy production. Taurine also helps the body process bile acid and balance fluids, salts and minerals, among other actions.
