I think it's not connected to countries where they are from but insufficient visa regulations. It's started with visa free entry and DTA. I hope the government will realize that.

    I think there is a connection to visa regulation. Before introduce the DTA and a possible 90 days stay here it seems to me there haven't been so many "incidents'. Thailand might go down the river if they can't find a Balance between money and quality. I can understand the "outcry" of the public, but they should address their government.

    Agreed. But who wants to live in Bangkok? Even living in Chiang Mai I have to move for at least 5 months to our beach house in the South. The reason? Clean, fresh air.

    Is there no authority checking the boats carrying passengers for "sea safety"? 2 electric pumps and additional hand pumps is a minimum to prevent such incidents. The qualifications for a "captain" are far too low also.
