  1. Strictly speaking she appears to have taken money for sexual services given however intangibly so the definition stripped of any negative connotations seems reasonable and there is nothing wrong with prostitutes btw. Do we know if she has any children or parents to look after ?
  2. A bit of a dry hole then in oil exploration terms then if you are prospecting for a major discovery. Could be a Benny Hill scene when the wife comes back and finds him in flagrante....
  3. Then she's underselling herself she should ask for 1000 - "young" and fit, "not prossie" surcharge and the old man tax.
  4. If you can share what roughly what is your friend worth in terms of ongoing income and assets and do you know anything further about her background wise ?
  5. The nice Thai lady becomes the red eye monster psycho though if trust is established and then betrayed and if she sees him as a safe papa take care sponsor she will soon be getting the spyware installed on the guy. I was helping a Thai estate agent friend help a client 40 years old who married a 70 year old Brit divorcee with 3 children by his first falang marriage. He lasted 5 years before sadly passing away. She hit the jackpot nice guy - a home on the Isle of Man , house in Jomtien , condo in Bangkok , bank accounts and shares. He left half to his wife and half to his children. She copped around 450k sterling in total. Better than the lottery !
  6. Plus the baht is backed by the gun if necessary which makes for stability of sorts !
  7. Is he a very fit well groomed 70 year old by any chance ?
  8. Hmm not really natural so looking for papa to take care. At 40 she's pretty off the table for Thai marriage and probably suspicious of Thai men in general. If he's looking for a woman to take care and ultimately be his nurse then it may work. It will quickly get to the point of show me the commitment very quickly.
  9. I think it depends on their ages and relative attractiveness. Can you let us have more information please ?
  10. Can anybody recommend any real estate agents in Hat Yai the wife is looking to sell a condo and is motivated to sell but just looking for any recommendation for agents. Many thanks in advance for any help anybody is able to give.
  11. Many thanks for that, it makes a lot of sense. She is minded to persuade her sister to leave the half to the sister who is currently living there as she gets on best with them both , pays a small pension to the oldest sister and wants to secure the property for the domiciled sister for the rest of her natural. If ownership is shared as well then there are options for them to both agree to sell and move and maybe sufficient funds to enable that to happen. With diluted shares it all becomes a bit of a nightmare with one family member in particular who could make trouble about "father's house" if he was to by default inherit a share.
  12. Bumping my own thread just to see if it catches anybodies eye !
  13. My wife has a 50% share of her late father's house and the oldest unmarried sister has the other 50% share. The mother and father are dead and there are 7 living siblings and two dead ones. The dead ones have two children each. In the event of her older sister's death how are the property shares allocated if required. ? One sister currently lives in the house with her husband and granddaughter and my wife wishes that to continue indefinitely. If the oldest sister doesn't make a will can any of the potential partial inheritors make trouble for instance by forcing a sale and demanding access to the property ? Many thanks in advance for any help you maybe able to give.
  14. According to my niece who pointed it out and it's well constructed and quite big it's the boys in green. The other big one is in Pattaya Klang that's the police apparently. They aren't something you can hide !
  15. I better not tell them about a big casino a 5 minute walk from where I am staying in Jomtien then.
  16. As a Brit with a declining currency the Chinese "invasion" can only strengthen the baht as all these millions will need to buy baht to spend here add in the Russians and Indians a strengthening baht is almost a given and pretty much a one way bet. I had Wise set up to transfer 1000 pounds in sterling when it reached 44 to the pound. I threw in the towel today. Happy times for Thai businesses with skin in the game but not so much for the rest of us !
