Chase seems to only charge $5 for an online transfer and $0 for transfers above $5k.. I guess they make money on the exchange rate... Do you know if they use the daily midmarket rate or lower?...

I use Ipostal1.com… It cost $99 a year for my Phoenix domicile address (They have addresses in most every state)… They notify you of any arriving mail by email and app with a photo of the outside envelope and you can decide to discard, scan the inside or forward (for an additional fee)

Btw… I would recommend you pick a forwarder who does not have a PO Box or suite address associated with the delivery address they assign you… It is less likely to be rejected as “not a physical address”

This is in Santhium area which is centrally located yet a Thai area with few short term tourists... There is a great local market with a typical Thai foodcourt... This would give you a great flavor for the real city and a month give you a chance to explore the city... Join a FB group that lists rentals and form a relationship with an agent who will drive you around to the different areas to view places to live...
