Many Thais look apon panhandling that is brought to the authorities to no avail as most likely a mafia activity... I can recall a TV Bangkok expose 10-15 years ago of horribly disabled and blind individuals being carted around popular venues and left on the sidewalk in the hot sun to accept donations in a bowl... Only the be collected at the end of the day and have all the money taken from them... I recall walking past them at Central World and my Thai partner admonishing me for dropping money in his bowl...

I would speak to someone in authority at Chiang Mai Immigration to confirm it’s allowed… as many local Immigration office only allow the combination method for marriage visa and do so begrudgingly…

When I said top up the gas I should have said check they gas pressure... Basically the seem to attach a tank with a pressure guage to the compressor unit and look at pressure ( they also use a laser temp monitor to guage the fan unit temperature).. I assume this is a standard procedure and if they find it low I assume they add more gas... They have never said it was low or charged me extra for the procedure...

Have them all done annually... Complete spray clean and gas topup... Same local guy I've worked with for years... Never a problem... Accept once when one had a fault that turned out to be a gecko trying to mate with a motherboard... Not a pretty sight... ;-(... I'm located in Chiang Mai...
