  1. For many of us were are permitted to stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding the visa. But their are western people living in Thailand who have been invited to stay. Ideas on that.
  2. You settle into a routine, everything is provided for you. After a couple of years it's like you loose the will to move on,but in the back of your mind you know you must. I was lucky I was looked after by the walen girls who asked me if I would like to work there.but I politely declined their kind offer.as I would never have got away from the place.
  3. I found it difficult to leave Pattaya it's like being paralyzed, the longer you stay the more you learn about its dark secrets .but I found the strength to leave and closed my room. I took my Yamaha spark which I brought new in Chiang mai years earlier, and headed to rayong. a interesting journey north up through chantaburi. Feeling great relief I had finally left Pattaya.
  4. Well, I brought a foldup bike in Penang George town time square.its been a great friend around Thailand & Laos, like a Brompton but cheaper and aluminium frame.i took it to Blackpool on national express. Stayed in B&B for a week I think it was about 70-80 quid 2016. I had some means I thought I would buy a small diesel MPV van I saw at a dealer. Got the guy at the car dealership to agree to let me use his address for the log book. Just to get out of wind and rain get a little sleep was a life saver. I spent 4 months moving around and kipping in the van. I still have the van to this day, best way to save money if you can when homeless.
  5. Hello, terry2905 This happened to me in 2016, after 9 years in Thailand. You should decide which part of the UK you would like to settle. For me anywhere north of mk. Check the internet for soup kitchens and homeless support in that area. Normally everything is free for people with no cash. You going to find it cold even with the current weather. night shelters start in November. There are lots of kind people running soup kitchens & homeless support rest assured. I moved around the Midlands. And then settled in north Midlands after finding a modest retirement home. Found a local job that pays well. Saving up for my next long adventure back in Thailand.
