  1. It seem like it depends where you get your COR how your order of your name is on the COR as some posted before, in Bangkok immigration the name order on COR is in correct order. The Dlt follows that order when you bring the COR as in my case but not in all Dlt
  2. Where did you get your current driving license? And did you need the COR to ge it?
  3. Which city was this? But I guess passport nr is a wrong doing from there side
  4. I will go back there and ask them. Can you get COR form other places than immigration, for example at the police station or other state departments?
  5. Hi everyone, I have a question about the Certificate of Residence in Thailand. I know this document is required for things like getting a Thai driving license, buying a motorcycle, or opening a bank account. My questions are: 1. Does it matter where I obtain the certificate? For example, if my address is in Pattaya, but I get my residence certificate in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, or Phuket, can I still use it at the Pattaya Department of Land Transport to apply for a driving license? Or for buying a motorcycle or opening a bank account in Pattaya? 2. If I want to open a bank account in Chonburi province, does the residence certificate have to be issued by the Chonburi Immigration Office, or can it be from any immigration office in Thailand? Would appreciate any advice from those who have experience with this. Thanks!
  6. Pattaya DLT told me I need a new COR to do that. So I went to pattaya immigration to do that but the woman that makes them told me she will not write my name in that order.
  7. Sure I will do that. Yes it was from pattaya dlt. I don’t know actually since I dont know all rules, I guess I have to call them or travel there and ask them.
  8. Do you know by any chance if I can get the COR from let’s say Rayong immigration or BKK immigration but I have my adress in Pattaya? And if so can I use that COR to obtain tdl in pattaya DLT?
  9. Yes but it seems that in Thailand everyone gets different results depending on how you do it.
  10. So you got the COR from jomtien and went to siracha to get the driving license?
  11. Oh so it’s recently, well I guess it is different where you are
  12. I guess it’s depends on the city. For me it’s a bit strange since I would like to use it as an id instead of having my passport around all the time. Sometimes you have to give your passport for a longer period to immigration when you apply for different types of visa.
  13. Hi everyone, I recently got a Thai driving license and noticed that my name is written with my last name first, followed by my first and middle names. For example, if my full name is Martin Jacobs Wilson, my Thai driving license shows it as Wilson Martin Jacobs. I’m wondering if this name order is also used on resident certificates issued by immigration in other cities. Specifically, does Pattaya Immigration write names in this format, or is this the standard across all immigration offices in Thailand, like in Phuket, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, etc.? Also, is there any way to have the name order corrected? I asked immigration to change it, but they told me to go to the DLT in Chonburi and ask them to call immigration. Is this something they actually do? Has anyone successfully had their name order corrected on official Thai documents? One more question: If you have the yellow book and pink ID card, do you still need a resident certificate to obtain a driving license, or is the yellow book enough? I’d appreciate any insights! Thanks!
  14. I sat with a guy from Laos and asked him how much he paid for the border bounce. He told me 2000 baht. We did pay 3500. Farang always pay more! 😆
  15. Hello everyone, I’m curious about the services visa agencies provide during a border bounce from Thailand to Cambodia and back. Last time, I used an agency and paid 3500 baht. However, after arriving at the border, I noticed that I had to go through the same process as everyone else: waiting in line, getting a number, and following the usual procedure. The van driver didn’t offer any special assistance beyond simply telling us where to line up, do these agencies prebook me in some kind of separate system, or am I on a special list they have connections with at the border? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining—I’m just genuinely wondering what exactly the agencies do that justifies the additional cost. If I did the process on my own, I believe it might cost around 2000 baht. For sure, traveling in a comfortable van for a round trip is nice, but I can’t help but wonder how much it would cost to travel the cheapest way. For example, taking a bus from Bangkok to Pattaya costs only 130 baht, and that’s about a 3-hour ride covering 150 kilometers. The distance from Pattaya to the Cambodian border is around 250 kilometers, so I can’t imagine the cost being that much more. I’d really appreciate some insight from those with experience on whether it’s worth using an agency or if handling the process solo is just as efficient. Thanks in advance, and have a great day!
  16. Went there and I need at least 30 days on my visa to do it 🙂
  17. Got it! How many days does it usually take to get the Thai driving license card after submitting all the documents?
