This is likely to tank both the economy and the Baht, but hey, these guys don't care. I still truly believe the people will be heard from. The end result of the Arab Spring may have not been real positive, but they certainly made a lot of noise. I think the people who voted for Pita and many other Thais feel just like the kids who have been protesting. I'm surprised there aren't more people out on the streets demanding real Democracy in Thailand.

Calm? You just overwhelmingly elected a prime minister, only to be told that because the elites and the military (you happen to be both) that the landslide victor can't have the job he was elected to? And you want calm? This is ridiculous.

So the vast majority supported Pita, but now the Senate and the courts are denying him the chance to be Prime Minister. I come from a Democracy. I guess I don't recognize this place as one.
