Thai PM Srettha Axed Over Controversial Cabinet Appointment
Poseidon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Goodbye, Backstabbing fool. so this will hopefully throw the baht into absolute chaos which is good for us and can the army get back in because all mp's are still there its only all the leaders that are thrown out. So they could easily refuse to back any primeminister from the army unless they put tanks and guns on the street of course which i hope the thais will resist this time around. i fully blame phu thai for this mess they should have stuck with move forward -

Thai ministry urges the public to refrain from giving money to beggars
Poseidon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And yet the thai government wants the royal temple in Wimbledon surrounded by all the mansions. to redo the roof in gold leaf and teak wood talking to the monks there. its 400k baht just for the leaf not including the labour of English builders to put it up. I wonder about thai budhism sometimes -
Thai ministry urges the public to refrain from giving money to beggars
Poseidon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I will give what i can when i can. Ive given money to a homeless mother and daughter in Bangkok. The man in the photo has no legs clearly no healthcare where are the prosthetics or wheelchair. If the government does not want money given to beggars or food to stray animals then they should do something about it and stop being a total disgrace. Till then i will help where i can when on holiday in Thailand. -

Thai beautician tops senator votes with 79 votes
Poseidon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I'm old fashioned but shouldn't someone be qualified and experienced in the area of, I don't know, say LAW. For being the senator for human rights and justice? -
Learn thai the rapid method. I have learnt to read in 2 months mostly self-taught, now i'm having private tuition with erin on zoom to build a vocabulary this is extremely difficult tho and will be a long process and has cost a fair amount of money. I'm also using a tutor on preply and I am very slowly reading danbrowns inferno translated into thai with him. They also hold group classes in chiang mai.

Thailand Enters Low Tourism Season: Hopes Rest on Chinese Visitors
Poseidon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I hope for a long and very quiet low season. Sadly I can't get out to Thailand this year during the low season. But it would be good to help pricing come back down to reality as they are asking high season prices in the hotels. Also just after COVID which I got stuck in as I booked during the pandemic thinking COVID would end earlier so I would not get caught up in the rush. I never want to be in Thailand when it's crowded again. Hated it -
Move Forward party given until May 3rd to submit charter court defence
Poseidon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What's the point it's already decided. Surely pita can see that Thailand is a lost cause and he should return to the USA and run his profitable business. Corruption and with how easy it is to buy off the electorate make it impossible to win there. It's what I would do in his current position -
This is very very worrying. Same country that built a bridge around the phone/power lines so they ran through it. This will not end well

Srettha will attend the Asean-Australia summit in Melbourne
Poseidon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
How does tourism benefit. Thailand is a poor country with little to offer. The average daily wage is well below Australia which is a very expensive country in comparison. And again trade, Australia is resource rich in minerals they really need to focus on producing there own goods and products. Doing business with a corrupt country like Thailand has little to offer and lastly defence is the very worst idea. Asean is heavily in hock to china and Russia our enemies here in the west. I see no good coming out of it -
Do the thais believe his acting and pretending to be shocked. He simply does not care. At least he can't escape the air quality rich or poor it will damage your lungs

Thaksin Virtually Held Hostage With Lese Majeste Lawsuit: NIDA Academic
Poseidon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Massive amount of irony here. After betraying the electorate, there voters and ruining democracy for another 5 years. If he goes in jail for this (I think he won't) after outsing the party that would have made changes it would be a very poetic ending for him- 53 replies
