Thailand Visa Exemption (60 days) and Visa On Arrival (VOA) (15 days)
Planning for a January 2026 visit, and my previous history is as follows: November 2024 to January 2025, I entered on visa exempt and stayed the full 60 days, with a 30 day extension. That was my only entry for 2024. 2025, I entered visa exempt in May, but only stayed for 21 days. As I understand it, they count it on a calendar year basis, so technically the January 2026 date will be my first visit of the year anyway... plus it's been about 8 months since my last entry, and in that time I've travelled to lots of different countries in between. I shouldn't have any problems, right? Probably overthinking this a bit, but would be good to know where I stand.

Proof of payment for accommodation for the whole period of stay in Thailand
Hi @jonga80 I was wondering the same thing when I was applying for my 60 day TV from KL last month. I just ended up booking the 'free cancellation' option on Agoda and printed off the e-mail receipt they provide. It even stated on it that payment was due at a later date. No issues whatsoever.

Not judging you, just wanted to know for a reference point about my own stay. Thanks for the info.

Hey @paulikens - could you please answer my previous question about how much time in total you've spent in Thailand over the last 3 years? Please define 'A hell of a lot of time'

Are you able to shed more light on the exact amount of time you've spent in Thailand over the last (let's say, 3) years? You said a hell of a lot, but didn't actually specify.

I got called paranoid for questioning about an entry with a similar history (5 months total duration in the last year). Looks like I was right to be concerned...

OP: You said you've spent a hell of a lot of time in Thailand, over the last 3 years say, how long are we talking?

Should I fly into Chiang Mai with this entry history, or will I be fine with BKK?
Noted, thank you!

Should I fly into Chiang Mai with this entry history, or will I be fine with BKK?
Appreciate the info, that's put my mind at ease a bit. I'm coming from Laos and the flights are so much more expensive to Suvarnabhumi. Should immigration at Don Muang be okay too?

Should I fly into Chiang Mai with this entry history, or will I be fine with BKK?
I've heard that CM is the more relaxed airport to fly into with the least amount of denied entries, so just wondering my best course of action. Since November 2022, I've had: 1 x single entry tourist visa + 30 day extension 1 x visa exempt entry + 30 day extension Each time I left the country for 2 months before returning (and will be the same for the next entry) I've already secured my tourist visa from KL, so just wanted to get everyone's opinion on here... Do you think with this history, and given the fact I've already secured my visa, I'll be okay flying into BKK? Thanks in advance.
