  1. Right okay fair enough. And in regards to the digital permit being accepted in Thailand do you know?
  2. Hi all. i am a UK 🇬🇧 citizen with a full valid drivers license & CBT (motorcycle license up to 125cc for my home country). I am currently staying in Thailand but I forgot to purchase an international drivers permit back in England before I left. i don’t want to keep paying police fines for not having a drivers permit, but I cant get a Thai license on my tourist visa. ive found a service that does digital copies of my international drivers permit. https://internationaldriversassociation.com/international-drivers-license-uk/ would this be valid/accepted in Thailand if stopped by police? my other option is to mail my license back to family in England and get them to process my IDP and send it back. thanks all!
  3. Thank you so so much. This is really appreciated. I just successfully extended my second TR60 for another 30 days today at the local NST City office. I have until 27th November so need to make my decision then. An owner/admin of Thailand Visa Advice Facebook group advised me that I could go to Penang embassy in Malaysia and apply for another TR60 there, but he said if i went back to the same one in Kota Bahru that i just did 2 months ago it would get denied for sure. For safety though, do you think its best I make the trip to Laos instead? Higher chances? I am a UK British passport holder by the way.
  4. Could you provide any more information on this, please? Is this just looping 30 day extensions or? I am a British passport holder by the way.
  5. Hi all, I am looking for a Thai Language School that provides a non-immigrant ED Visa in NST City/province, Thailand.
  6. Hi all. How many times can you realistically do visa renewal runs. By this, i don't mean 30 day extension 1 day missions. I mean travel across to another country for example Malaysia, go to the Thai embassy in that country and apply for a new TR60 Visa fresh. I arrived in Thailand on a TR60 Visa (obtained online with e visa service from my home country). I extended that locally for + 30 days I then left thailand, went to Malaysia, applied for another TR60 visa and was successful. Once this has expired I plan on doing it again. Eventually my plan is to go onto the ED Visa program but I'm having a hard time finding a school local to me in Nakhon Si thammarat province which is why I'm having to do another visa run mission. I worry that immigration may start asking questions if i keep bouncing these tourist visas, how long could I realistically do this for, and what would count as "resetting" my status, a 1 month trip to another country or something?? Cheers all.
  7. Hi all, I am a falang (GB National ????????) living in Thailand, currenlty on a 3 month single entry tourist visa with the option to renew for another month late November. I want to stay out in Thailand & live/work longer term, the work permit visa looks like a solid option for me to do so. I am in talks with a Local Muay Thai gym & they would like to hire me to help with managing their customer bookings online (remote working position). They are happy to give me the job role so I can be granted a working permit visa to stay out in Thailand. However, I have 2 main questions which i just cannot seem to get answered from researching online. 1) What steps does the Muay Thai Gym who want to employ me/issue the work permit visa need to take? Do they need to pickup any forms from immigration, send off info about tax etc. How long could this process take, will I have enough time on my 3 month visa to get it issued? 2) Are their any rules/regulations in regards to the specific job roles/types of work that needs to be completed to have a valid work permit, would they allow me to live away from the Gyms location but complete my work tasks remotely from within Thailand? Or is it simillar to the ED Visa where they require photos to be taken of you "working" at the Thai businesses location? Any info/insight or links to useful information/website & forums explaining this would be much appreciated, thanks all! ????????????
  8. Good shout!! Thank you. I am actually planning on moving to Nahkon Si Thammarat province, so currently searching for ED Visa options there, however will definitely keep these pointers in mind. Thank you so much. Vietnam is on the list for sure, stayed there last year for a month & loved it!!
  9. Yeah for sure man!! Thank you. Marriage visa is definitely an option --> but definitely not one to rush into. I do currently have a Thai girlfriend who's the same age as me, but its only been 2 months HAHA! Early days early days. ED visa should suit for now! ???? Thanks again
  10. Totally understandable, thank you brother. I’m 20 years old at the moment, working remotely on a fairly decent wage at the moment. elite visa is out the question for now, but the ED is within budget for sure. other than those two I’m not really aware of any other long term options?
  11. Hello! thanks so much for responding to me so it’s my first time in Thailand, my history is clean. No previous visas or overstaying. my plan is this —> I wanted to come back on another 60 Day TR visa to give myself a time buffer to sort out my personal situation. Then I would like to apply for the ED Visa for 1 year. do you think I’ll have difficulty getting the ED visa if I come back on another tourist, or should I rather just start the ED Visa application process now? In short -> I am 100% looking at becoming a long term resident in Thailand if possible and would like to ensure I don’t screw my chances of that happening now by abusing the tourist system.
  12. @Tropicalevothank you so so so much man. You're saving me a serious headache. Much appreciated!!
