I only go to Pattaya now to visit a buddy who has a condo there for the last 8 years. Of these he worked overseas for most if them , so I'd use the condo for a month or two per year, keeping it clean and doing a bit of DIY when called for. He finally really retired there about 3 years ago. He has being trying to sell the condo and move elsewhere for two of these years, as he thinks Pattaya has become a really dangerous sh.....hole. He has been assaulted by Thai at bars or leaving bars (where he is a regular) twice in 12 months, just because of some percived slightly. Thinks their all a bunch of nutters with the emotional restraint of toddlers now!

That excuse is used by every s***bag country in Africa and the developing world. If people want the responsibility that comes with the authority of the role of a Police Officer, then they should be set to a higher standard of behaviour not a lower one.
