Thailand expects major rise in EV imports under new four-year plan
Thailand expects major rise in EV imports under new four-year plan. Hertz isn't failing, they are finding out they made a mistake with EV's. Not sure what you mean by a news-blip, but I am finding this is not really a free and fair open forum, and I'm seeing too many moderators want to strictly control the narrative especially when they don't agree with what is said, when I don't agree with what someone says, I just keep scrolling, and... I have never cared for a response from anyone on here, because there are more negative ones than positive, and its not why I share anything. You also made the other thread after this one. Why?

Thailand expects major rise in EV imports under new four-year plan
Rental giant Hertz dumps EV's, including Teslas, for gas cars. Selling 20,000 citing higher expenses related to collision and damage for EV's even though it had aimed to convert 25% of its fleet to electric by 2024 end. Tires an issue due to the weight of the vehicles wearing tires faster than the lighter ICE vehicles. Insurance costs are through the roof mainly due to expenses related to fire, collision and damage, primarily associated with EVs. Its decision underscores the bumpy road EVs have hit as their sales growth slows, causing carmakers like General Motors, and Ford, to scale back production plans. https://www.energy.gov/articles/history-electric-car

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part I
Which policies are you speaking of? The ones that were in place before, but ignored for many years until now? Which ones in particular?

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part I
"100% Tax-Free Retirement in Thailand Only income earned inside Thailand is subject to tax during retirement. If you have personal income from pension, interest or other income-producing means from your country of origin it would not be subject to income tax in Thailand." That's what I was sold on years ago, and I never felt I was ever taking advantage of their hospitality by making the conscious choice of spending my already taxed hard earned retirement income here. For the first time I really feel Thailand is taking advantage of me, and it's growing more undesirable every day.

Look left. Look right, Look left again-Brit hit by bike
I sure didn't have white pasty crepe skin on toothpicks at 52. There is ugly, and then there is unhealthy and this one looks like both. Yikes...

Payment of income tax under Section 41, paragraph two of the Revenue Code
I don't think you could put 50 brain cells together on any given day, but what I really don't understand is why you would think I care? Reading some of what you have posted, I only see an emotionally immature know it all, which seems par for the course in here.

How was the last week for you?
What do you mean I don't understand? Months of reading post on this website, without being a member, to see if there might be some useful Tax info. (There is not much) and reading everything you posted almost non stop, (do you sleep with your phone or laptop?) I am sure it's incredulous to you that someone may not like or appreciate you, but there are a handful on here just like you that post even more useless crap and have arrogant and condescending opinions about everything. You think being a smart ass old man is going to make you anymore popular than you already think you are? Long term expats only grow worse with age, they complain more, look down their noses at everyone, don't have respect for the locals, and have unearned superiority complexes based solely on just being in country longer, and always seem to believe they are helping "Newbies", I seem to recognize you from TV and you are not anymore impressive than you were back then, and as much as you'd like to think you're an Ubon Joe, you are as far away from that guy as you could ever be. I am sure you will have a moderator get rid of my comments, but no worries, because this site is like the Thai government, it is unreliable, dragging and I have not gained anything I didn't already know, so I will Adios MF'r and stay away from this useless crap, but YOU carry on in this sad little world you dwell in.

How was the last week for you?
Evidently you can't read them either, and everyone has to start again sometime. Is the amount of post the most important thing to you? how about the emojis? I used to check out Thai Visa years back, until I could no longer take the old know it alls and their power trips of continually giving bad advice whether you asked for it or not. We'll see how long I can take it now, not starting out good with the problems with the site.

Heres the thing about taking advice, it is all about having free will in your decision making. Lurking in here to find answers from long time members for things that many are not clear on, seems to be like little power trips for the long time members to release dopamine, and while its always nice to help each other without being overly critical, it should be also noted that not everyone can be another Ubon Joe. Everyone has a choices and persuasion from a person that runs a business that would hope to have even more business and along with keeping a good reputation, so where is the gain in knowingly deceive anyone? I am always more apt in weighing the business persons point of view, instead of the many in here that say "I'm not a tax expert" So... right or wrong, why do you have so much interest in another's decision making?

If you are not a bot, then how do you even get out of bed each day? Over 5000 posts and suffering from extreme distrust and paranoia. Must be a real paradise for you living in Thailand. Anyone can tell me how to block people on here?

So... All the copy and paste puts your opinion in the same place it was before you attempted to have a fact... Which you don't.

Can you explain a little better, what you mean? Especially from an article that loses a lot in translation? 🤔

Pretty much what you do when you are confident and have all your bases covered. I feel more at ease listening to her than the American lawyer with bad hair, that seems to be buying into the hype and paranoia.

The trolls and bickering have turned many off of AseanNow. There are some regular members adamant on high jacking posts and offering their non stop opinions and not as so much in facts, and have grown not so easy to ignore. These "regular" members have been around since TV and still think and act the same as they did before, which tells me, most likely hardheaded Dinosaurs that are unlikely to change.- Thailand PM invites Tesla, HP, and Analog Devices to invest
My son works at the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin, Texas that builds the Cyber truck and the first ones are supposed to be rolling off the assembly line on November 30th. There were a lot of tax incentives for Musk to open in Austin, which he pretty much got everything he asked for. The area is a strong technically trained community - with some great semiconductor and software companies. Tesla is primarily a Tech company, with access to students at a world class research University at UT Austin. There were many homebuilders that designed areas and local government worked with Tesla to create parkways with an 85mph/137kph tollway easy access to bypass the congestion problems in the area, but along with design and functionality, there was a study on property taxes in areas near Austin, due to the high property taxes in the immediate Austin area. There is no state tax in Texas, but Musk was adamant with his decision making to include business taxes, employee taxes, location, and logistics. Honestly I do hope ole Thailand can make a go of attracting new investment, but I hate to say they may not stand a China mans chance with companies like Tesla. - Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part I
