    Really?

This was a simple ice factory, not a chemical plant.

I would suggest you never eat out, if they are using LPG, the fire and explosion risk may scare you.

Yes Really. Ignorance award of the year above.

Ice factories can be deadly, Father Joe of Mercy center thought this battle maybe 25 years ago (could be more?) in Klong Toey on behalf of the poor people  affected by ammonia leaks and tragic end result, there is no such thing as a simple ice factory..

  2. You opened a thread a few weeks ago, I guess its related unless you're modelling the weather. If you're trading with your own money for your own benefit, a prop shop essentially, then you can I'm sure you can be as flexible as you like and no one will care.

If it's a silly/weak workaround to essentially offering investment advice under some vague get-out-clause that your clients (or friends) are buying into a mathematical model, or recurring modelling advice, and even executing themselves then you will be truly, and rightfully, screwed the moment you learn that your clients/friends can also pretend, and they were never allegedly aware of the risks.

You're attempting to enter the most regulated industry outside of drugs, the back doors don't exist.

    having no sugar or msg

A lot of people have this illusion. Will correctly classify 7/11 as a ultra-processed junk takeaway, but then think the old sweet auntie at the top of road or street cart is cooking real thai food, healthy and fresh, the MSG, sugar, sauces (with both the former) and cooked lovingly in cheap palm oil (sometimes even new) 💪  in a pan that you can tell was once coated in non-stick but no more, hopefully it's all pealed off by now. Eat fresh non of that microwave gunk 😆
I eat it occassionally but under no illusion..

  4. Someone hijack your account? only hours ago about the soi 4 dumper... more respect for the soi 4 guy than this non-sense

For those of you that think this if funny, think of it as another nail in the wall for all foreigners being blamed and punished for the tiniest of infractions, it will affect you, so I suggest you stop laughing.

  5. Are you qualified and certified back home to do this, that you can look at transitioning those certifications and registering with whatever the thai version of the FCA is?  Do you have necessary level of professional indemnity insurance to do this work? Required visas/work permit? doing something like this puts you at high risk of dispute, especially if your client later decides they weren't fully aware of the risks.

If not, then as Mike hints at, you're limited to the special economic zone for dodgy foreign financial advisors, i.e. 1km surrounding area of Nana BTS.

  6. I have few people on Facebook with EVs, they literally announce every journey over 10km and pat themselves on the back anytime they've done a 2 hour journey, and of course no shortage of detail shared, want to know how much charge remaining at the M4 services.. and how much remained when they got home..

Annoying cnts, it's like they run these trips for charity or something..

Agree on above, residuals on these will be absolutely terrible.

There is an epidemic of scam calls in Thailand. How can they be stopped?

They won't whilst the Thai's keep falling for them again and again, it must be like shooting fish in a barrel to the scammers targetting +66, they don't even have to try, I've known Thai people who have fallen for the same scam twice, well near the enough same - I got job with TikTok one month, I got a job with Facebook the next month!   🤦‍♀️

  8. Thais fall for the most scams in Asia last year would be a more fitting title.

It doesn't matter if what they call News has just done a 10 minute report on job recruitment scams, when that phone call comes the amnesia kicks in and thought of being a specially selected TikTok quality assurance officer with just a small equipment deposit fee is too good to turn down..

As they need the money to pay a DHL agent the taxes on the package of jewellery their rich senior US Navy general has waiting for them

Flying from Swampy to Glasgow, don't need checked luggage, only carry on. Anyone know if they will accept a small case 25x35x60 when their maximum size is 25x35x55?

Take a crosshead and unscrew the wheels if they get arsey..  That should shave 5cm off..

Kinnock yours is exactly the support I need to read at the moment, thank you mate. It is painful yes, I'll keep your post on hand when I need a bit of extra support.  She says she wants a divorce, but she has no grounds for a contested divorce when it's only her that wants it, I've been a good and decent husband. Should I just walk away as many are suggesting?

Why would you want to stay? Why wouldn't you jump at the divorce? Is she holding on to any significant assets of yours?

Siam legal have stopped assisting with opening bank account.

    Believe Maneerat Pattaya still possible.

Not sure about thaivisacenter in bangkok

For thaivisacenter, it's an extra on the visa package, I think it was around 5k more if you don't have a bank account already. Not sure if they offer the service without the visa.

I've had issues, with them on 2 different vehicles (2 tries)....

When the front axles dropped out of my wife's Civic after CV joint servicing in under 500 kilometers I went with the receipt to the desk & was told it was over 60 days & not covered.... Luckily she was driving slowly on a straight road when the axles popped.....

I have much stronger feelings but won't express them on a public forum...

They're quick on upsells with dab a lube trays, etc.

They remind me of the Goodyear/Firestone shops in the US.....

    Definitely strong on the upsells.

Go in for brakes and calling the misses trying to sell all new shock absorbers for nearly 20k.  Then starts the argument, he wouldn't recommend it if it's wasn't needed, and don't blame me if vehicle explodes then..

That said, service was pretty fast, and at least price was near enough what the estimate was..
