    No just wondering if they keep it where do they keep it and how they are able to easily retrieve it? Do they replace the previous years paperwork with the current years? There is no point in storing it if it will never be looked at again.

    Does anybody know what happens to the paperwork that is used to support visa extensions at immigration offices. There is a lot of it and I guess it’s filed away somewhere never to see the light of day again 🤷‍♂️

    I was not asking if the reason for rejection was reasonable I was just asking if there was an appeals procedure 🤷‍♂️

    As I understand it the immigration officer has sole discretion on the approval of an extension renewal. This seems to me to be rather draconian. Is it possible to appeal a rejection decision and if so what is the procedure?

    One hopefully final point on the etiquette front. Is it best to see the IO alone for the Non-O extension interrogation (Sorry interview) or be accompanied by a Thai friend who can speak Thai?

    The problem is that just because I ask a question everyone thinks I am in a particular situation. It’s not the case I just want to be clear what happens in certain situations 🤷‍♂️

    It’s not the same at all if a re-entry permit is not obtained when the checking staff eventually turn up (in your scenario) they will eventually check me in and my flight will leave. Upon return to Thailand with no re-entry permit I get the visa waiver 60 days and have to start the Non-O process from scratch 🥴.

    Well I am glad I asked. I thought they just stamped your passport and you were good to go (and come back of course). Can you download the form and supply your own passport sized photo?

    I understand that it is possible to get a re-entry visa before departure at BKK airport. My worry would always be if the re-entry desk was unmanned for any reason my non-o visa application process would have to start from scratch upon my return 🤷‍♂️

    If my visa extension is not approved that would be the plan. I am thinking now that I will return home on 23rd April and return 2 months later with a new passport and before I leave Thailand move my funds to a new bank. I do not want any trace of an agent on my documents 😡

    Yes I am thanks. As I said in my earlier thread I have kept a balance of 800,000 THB in my account since 18 January 2024 so all should be fine the only concern that I had was the fact that I did use an agent in the past and if that could be an issue.
