  1. I wasn't talking about your question but the question I was replying to in the first place. I have no idea ho to define a safe city. Safety is a relative concept. What I know is how to define dangerous: you look at the stats. Bangkok is clearly the most dangerous city in Thailand. It is - as you said - pretty obvious but I was replying to a moron asking a dumb question.
  2. I think I get it now. I would agree to a certain extent. It's probably a lack of education. People don't really know how to organize things properly here. They don't really know how to improvised either. So yeah...
  3. That entire Koh Samui area seems to have become the new foreign criminal hub of Thailand. As I remember it, it used to be Pattaya and Phuket. Pattaya is now a nursing home and Phuket I don't hear much about these days. The times, they are a-changin'...
  4. Google Maps comments don't report anything of the sort. Only good reviews (mine included). I had my visa extended in Krabi a week ago. 1900thb as usual. If such a tax was implemented it would probably be nationwide. All visas and extensions including tourism ?
  5. The level of stupidity / populism of this is nuts. America is digging its own grave slowly but surely.
  6. You obviously don't live in Thailand :D
  7. My opinion is that Thai nightlife in its legendary form is dead. It sucks now. Girls have an attitude problem, they have been converted to the american capitalism mentality (most ruthless of all), prices are a bad joke... I mean come on. Thai prostitutes never really had any real value as women (dishonest, terrible english, uneducated, lousy in bed for the most part) but they used to be cheap, had a lovely kind of innocence to them and were willing to "take care the man". Nowadays it is just a complete garbage. Junk food, smartphones, greed, arrogance, drugs, consumerism... Girls have lost it. And it's not over yet ! Wait until feminism kicks in... And it will. I already saw a prostitute in Pattaya with a t-shirt "my body, not yours". Yeah right. Well in that case, "my money, not yours". Now f off, princess. And let's not talk about owners, mama sans and staff at large... Time passes by, the world changes. It is what it is. Thailand is well on its way to social disaster due to its demographic crisis. In 10 years time, the country will have changed completely. Big cities will become overpopulated and overpriced. Provinces will have died out for the most part as young people move out. Prostitution will be granny-oriented as more and more elderly will be abandoned by their families. Westerners retiring in Thailand don't seem to understand that they will be milked like cows. Life for them won't be as cheap as they imagine. Anyways... Real mongers have probably left already. Dunno where. Maybe the Philippines or Cambodia? Or maybe Africa ? Who knows...
  8. Not sure I would go there to entertain adults. Especially in Pattaya. But for kids it's great.
  9. Many comments should shut it. Give me a break... Thai netimorons pretending to find out Patong is a brothel :D :D
