Thai Navy's Submarine Plans Stalled Pending Feasibility Study
Joe Boy Walton replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
"This situation underscores the nuanced intersection between military needs, international relations, and domestic governance, capturing attention both within Thailand and among its global partners" This highlights the complex interplay of military requirements, international diplomacy, and internal politics within Thailand. The intricate relationship is not isolated, but rather draws significant attention both domestically and from Thailand's international allies, showcasing the interconnected nature of these three key areas. The situation described reveals the sensitive balance between these often conflicting forces and highlights the need for more corruption, prostitution and drug sales/usage to bolster the cost offsets for a venture of this nature. (I can bull<deleted> too) -
Thai Police Hunt 'Foreign Gang' Who Defied Law in Viral Video
Joe Boy Walton replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
These "announcements" with no detail are all about face. "Look at me doing the job I'm supposed to do" or "Geez I haven't done anything for a while so maybe my bosses will start to question me" or "Everybody sees me sitting on my fat arse and doing nothing so I had better whip up a scare story to keep my role and maintain relevance". I see it all over the world in my line of work and can safely say that it's not just a Thai thing. -

Boozy Australian Tourist Restrained by Phuket Airport Police
Joe Boy Walton replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
While I bemoan the fact that my fellow Aussies are getting some unwanted press recently, I must agree, this sort of behaviour is becoming endemic, Bali, Fiji, Vanuatu all have had similiar reports recently and this alcohol fuelled sense of privelege is nearing the levels of some other countries, notably middle eastern or soviet. Maybe us Aussies need to return to simpler times, perhaps when we were locked up in our own country. -
Thai woman caught lying on baggage conveyor at Krabi Airport
Joe Boy Walton replied to snoop1130's topic in Krabi News
"social media users are outraged" "drawing heavy criticism on social media" "a significant backlash from netizens" "disruptive content" So a slow news day, plus language that exhorts you to be as outraged as all the other sheep on social media, results in a non story for you to get angry at. Job done. Now give me some advertising money. -

Thai doctor vows to create "Hitler Room" to gas hospital smokers
Joe Boy Walton replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Most smokers use tobacco regularly because they are addicted to nicotine. Addiction is characterized by compulsive drug-seeking and use, even in the face of negative health consequences. The majority of smokers would like to stop smoking, and each year about half try to quit permanently. -
Thai doctor vows to create "Hitler Room" to gas hospital smokers

So much vitriol, Live and Let Live, good motto. The guy is a freak and is extolling a very dangerous plan to support his rabid opinion. Not very supportive of smokers, who have an addiction. Now if he had said that cigarette advertisers, manufacturers and political persons who benefit from cigarette taxes were to be placed in that booth, I might think differently. -
"Big Boobs Barbershop" Draws Crowds with Expert Haircuts in Khon Kaen
Joe Boy Walton replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
I remember, when I was a lot younger and less aware, getting a haircut, in Hua Hin, from a Ladyboy. I didn't know she was a Ladyboy because all I could see were the great boobs, but it turned out the german sausage poking into my neck and shoulder was the giveaway and a bit disconcerting. I never went back. -

Bangkok moonshine death toll rises to 4, 28 in critical condition
Joe Boy Walton replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
This story made me thirsty. -
"Mr. Patipan stressed that eyewitnesses did not see the entire incident from the beginning and misunderstood the situation. He attempted to explain to the tourist, but the tourist ran away. Upon seeing news reports of the incident, Mr. Patipan contacted the police to clarify the events." So the tourist ran away to ICU after being pushed to the ground and hitting his head, after pushing and shoving went on that wasn't witnessed. Sounds legit.
