  1. Could anyone please clarify if we need to do the 90-day reporting in person for the 1st time EVERY time we enter into Thailand, or only the very 1st time we enter into Thailand and can do the following reporting online, even temporarily leaving the country in between? Also, where should we do the reporting in person in Bangkok? Thanks!
  2. Thank you for sharing your successful story getting the DTV. I have a job offer letter now with company's letterhead. The letter states my position, salary, other benefits, etc. on it. My boss has signed on the offer as well. Do I still need a contract? If I do, could you please explain a little more what a contract should look like? Do you have a template that I can refer to? Thank you!
  3. I'm a Canadian citizen currently staying in Thailand. I'm planning to apply for the DTV early next month. Could anyone advise which city is relatively easier to get approved? Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Vientiane or Phnom Penh? I need to book my flight and hotel asap. Also, there's a previous online post saying that the bank statements have to be stamped by a bank officer. It's impossible for me to fly back to Canada for this at this point. Could anyone confirm whether this is true? Thanks!
  4. Hi MisterGreen, where did you submit your application from?
  5. I've read through their website already. I was just wondering, from a practical standpoint, will the consulate request additional documentations other than an employment offer/contract?
  6. Okay Rob... so besides a copy of my formal signed work contract, are there any additional documentations required for proof of remote status?
  7. Hi Rob - As I'm collecting those required documentations for a DTV application, could you please advise which overseas consulate you would personally recommend? Laos or Cambodia? I haven't been to either of these countries before. I saw someone is planning to apply at Thai Consulate in Hong Kong, but figured Laos and Cambodia are both geographically closer to Thailand. Any other options I'm not aware of? Thanks!
  8. Hi Rob - have you heard any successful cases of getting the DTV visa in Laos, Malaysia, etc. recently? Also, the local Immigration Office in Bangkok is not taking the DTV applications? Thank you!
  9. Thank you for sharing your experience! Just wondering if 500K Baht needs to be wired to a Thai bank account before applying?
  10. So are you saying the local Immigration office doesn't handle the DTV application at all? For a Canadian citizen, instead of flying over 20 hours back home, is it possible to apply in person in a neighboring country (e.g. Malaysia)? Thanks again.
  11. 1. Can I apply for this DTV visa while I'm traveling within Thailand,? Just arrived Bangkok a few days ago and figured out I should be eligible for this new visa type. Visited their e-visa website but didn't find Thailand as "Current Location" though. 2. Do I need to wire the 500k THB to a Thai bank account? Is this one of the requirements? 3. Is a written contract sufficient for the application? Does it need to be notarized?
