AMEC school, Chiang Rai is looking for a qualified female native speaker to take charge of our kindergarten.

We are a small bi-lingual school in the north of Thailand and we have 75 students with 22 in kidergarten.

You will have 2 helpers, 1 Thai and 1 Phillipino to help you.

Salary is 25,000 baht a month with health insurance , school meals and a one year contract.

Native English speaker : meaning someone who holds a passport from and was born and raised in either U.K., Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Ireland or U.S.A.

It has been unusally hot in Muang Chiang Rai for the last few weeks.

Got an end piece of radio news about the thunderstorm this afternoon.

It said something about people getting hit by lightning at the end of the storm and that there were some fatalities.

Anyone hear about this?

Since,I had an eye operation last year.

I no longer need glasses for reading,however can't see so well for distance.

I have to keep an eye on what the young coyotes are up to!

Near the new clock tower if you turn right towards the large market there is a shop called Fah thai, the oldest opticians in Chiang Rai and in my opinion, the best.

I won't , too far out of the way and if like the rest of the stuff,way too expensive.

Tourist Inn is not bad and the price is better than A&P.

I think quality, price and location are important.

Stopped by A&P today and they said they will be closed until Monday 16th. They are moving into their new house. Thought this notice might save somebody a trip.

I for one will not be returning to A&p.

I have gone to their new ,out of the way premises three times to find it closed.

As usual the poster of the now deleted post is talking *****, a work permit is required for real estate business or re-agent and though the poster

tries to get around this by advertising free on thaivisa, he is still breaking the law.

Even by taking people around Chiang Rai looking at properties, for a nominal fee, he is still breaking the law.

I would like to mention I was telling my Thai family about this and they thought it was great. Basically they said it is about time that the farang community dealt with the other farangs.

i have been to jetjod rd. daytime nobody there,nighttime,still not many customers,all who were there very drunk and abusive,one irish/scottish[unsure] was screaming for his tilak repeatedly,he was crying,had snot hanging from nose and trousers had big urine patch,he asked me for a loan of money to which i refused,he got aggressive,this was in a bar called crazy joe's.

My tissues were finished and I was shouting for my change OK

actually the main protest rally was today and it caused major delays to motorists.

The main highway from the Thoung juction was blocked and all traffic diverted, took me an extra hour to just drive through the town

Try lannarealty or post it in thaivisa classifieds, though it gets lost there very easy.

I think the old system of advertising on thaivisa was much better. You saw at a glance if there was anything interesting in your own or another locality, but now you have to click to classifieds and click to for sale and then if anything cathches your eye you have to click again and if you want to see if they have the item in Chiang Mai you have to start the process all over again.

Hardly convenient.

I agree lannarealty are the best, rest are useless and one or two cowboys who don't even have a website because they don't have a workpermit and con people by taking money of people by showing them houses around Chiang Rai
