The Chinese and Taiwan government are discouraging its citizens from visiting Thailand in fear of security. Really no reason for 90 day visas for countries discouraging travel to Thailand.

What's the deal with these new generation thief tourists preying on other tourists? A clean cut Belgian tourist stole my new 160 dollar Adidas running shoes at the reception of our hostel. They were confiscated by staff who identified them from a photo. Another time some german "backpackers" ransacked by bunk and stole 150 Euros out of my backpack which was stashed in a secret pocket! Amazing how they found it. They were the only other people staying in the room and had a straight face like they were innocent.

The new generation of European criminals have arrived in Thailand. They have this notion that Thailand is an easy target to scam other travelers, along with operating a base to run a criminal network abroad. These young naive criminals come here thinking this is a third world country with poor technology and traceability compared to their homeland. Royal Thai Police have alot more knowledge about "you" when you enter their country than you probably think. Criminals think they are home free because Thai immigration let you in. The criminal becomes trapped and you become a trophy to the RTP.
