  1. Ok, thanks for the info. much appreciated.
  2. Does anyone know if there any visa agencies in khon kaen or udon thani that do border runs? No results on google. Can't believe i might have to go all the way back down to bangkok to use one there that will just take me all the way back up north to cross the border at Laos. And no I don't want to do it myself. I need the assurance of an agency if you know what i mean😉 thank you in advance.
  3. Hardly any Russians 20 years ago😉
  4. Well for starters we don't know what time the incident happened, yes it's dark but it could still be early so there could be parents out with their kids and also maybe it isn't hurting anyone but why can't they just wait till they get back to their rooms. They need to get a grip. surely they can keep their hands to themselves for a bit and wait till they're back at the hotel and stop acting like a couple of dogs on heat.
  5. if the dollar is weak the baht is stronger, if the dollar is strong it makes the baht stronger. Mmmmm Ok
  6. This always baffles me and is completely absurd. What is the correlation between someone's visa status and how they behave as a human being. These people behave badly because of who they are as human beings and has nothing whatsoever to do with their visa status. It's like linking their behaviour to their hair colour. Also how do they know what visa status any of these people that were caught causing trouble, lewd behaviour, etc, was anyway? Clutching at straws
  7. I agree that they will have to put up with some customers who can be an absolute headache and believe me i know, I've worked in the restaurant business and some people just look for a reason to complain but I also know that Thais aren't great in dealing with legitimate complaints from customers. I once saw someone complain that the apple pie he got served was still frozen solid which it was, and the waitress got the complete hump with him like he was being fussy. Incredible.
  8. Restaurants aren't the greatest in service manners in Thailand and why that is, is because they're usually allowed to getaway it. Thais in general don't complain about that sort of thing and just let it carry on. I don't know why they don't complain but my guess would be the loss of face they're so obsessed with or too embarrassed but way too many Thais are allowed to get away with bad service because of their lack of complaining.
  9. No doubt he couldn't be arsed to do the work and just fobbed you off. Bank staff like doing that here, especially if it's near lunch time😉
  10. Because no-one had mobile phones to record the fights then.
  11. They can't publicise the entry rules because they know they might change it all again in a few months as they like to do in Thailand. Probably go back to have as many as you want (visa waivers) come low season. they only changed it round about july of this year to you could have as many waivers as you wanted, and then changed it back to only 2 a year just as they're about to enter high season. just pure coincidence though that is
  12. scamming gangs, money laundering gangs, and Illegal business owners are the people immigration claim use border runs. I've never heard such nonsense. The people who use border runs agencies are tourists who initially come for a few months and like a lot of people got the Thailand bug and just stay longer than they thought they would, or backpackers who keep putting off going to their next intended destination as they're enjoying Thailand still, or some people who can't meet the financial requirements of other visas. Highly sophisticated crime networks aren't using border bounce visa agencies. Absurd! and immigration know that. funny how they stopped it just as high season approached. what's the betting it will be back to normal when it hits low season again.
  13. I have a job offer as a teacher in south Thailand but i need to go out of the country to get the Non B, Laos is the best option i think. But does anyone know how strict they are on documents? as I don't have my transcripts with me and I'm wondering is it possible to still get the Non B without them or is that not possible? I will have all the documents from the school as it's a legit job offer but will that be enough?
  14. Plenty of Thais didn't like the ban either. So, nothing to do with anti thai sentiment and also people will call out nonsense whether it's In Thailand, China, UK, Oz, etc, etc. . It seems you're the one making it about anti thai
  15. Obviously it's pure coincidence that the clampdown is happening just as high season approaches 🤔
  16. It's very vague. Are they going to have another meeting? Are they happy to carry on with the 60 days waiver? Is it under review? etc, etc.
  17. They would do that whether it was midnight, 1,2,3 am the bars closed.
  18. Of course they're discussing it because it's coming towards high season. They just want 60 days when it suits them. Can read them like a book. They'll put it back to 30 days and say they will review it around about may/june time just as low season kicks in and put it back to 60 days again.
  19. All the old gits moaning and saying why do people need to drink till 4am? Well, you don't have to. Leave it to people who like to have a good time and you can stay in your homes. They're not disturbing you. you'll be in bed with your cup of cocoa by 9pm.
  20. All seems a bit sus and as he has Thai blood in him it could bit a bit of a porkie he's telling.
