  1. I think it's the EyeWitness Project who are naive to think the tourists getting involved are naive. they know what they're doing. It boils down to one thing GREED!! no naivety involved whatsoever.
  2. Yes, If they got a lot of cash and work as what exactly?
  3. Oh what a surprise! Immigration changing requirements. making it up as they go along as per usual. Although DTV applicants claiming they're spending too much on hotels and are broke while they're waiting for the process is nonsense. they have to be earning big money to get a DTV and have a load in the bank.
  4. So, Just another excuse to stop someone coming in because an IO is having a bad day or they have to fill some quota.
  5. They haven't got any patience on the roads though.
  6. They won't stop till all beautiful landscapes and scenery on the island is covered in concrete
  7. I've always wanted to know.....if they pull a motorbike taxi driver over that has a passenger who isn't wearing a helmet does the passenger get fined or the taxi driver?
  8. Thais don't like snitching??? are you having a laugh. Thais can't wait to grass each other up
  9. I didn't mean you when i said it's nonsense i mean the powers that be who claim it's unlimited via air. It isn't unlimited and it shouldn't matter if you fly in and out the same day. iIt's either unlimited or it isn't(again I'm not aiming this at you but the powers that be) . if you can't fly in and out in a short period of time (btw i haven't done this, I'm just making a point) then they should clarify that. Make the rules clear and concrete. Not this IO discretion BS
  10. Yes. Although they say no limit via air but that is nonsense they question you more at the airport than via land. As soon as you've had more than one via air, they won't let you back in. So, no limit via air is utter BS. they always use the get out clause of 'immigration officer's discretion'.
  11. I know the 60 days waiver is more than likely coming to an end so this slightly irrelevant but when they changed it last July they did say it was unlimited to how many you could do in a year. And I was just wondering how true that turned out to be? Is there anyone on here who has done more than 2 since last July?
  12. I've always found that Thais have very weak immune systems. They always seem to be quick to go to a pharmacy just for a poxy cold. for most westerners i think we will just sit it out and man up. i don't know if that's why they have such weak immune systems? Maybe that's why there are so many pharmacies in Thailand cuz they can't wait to pop some pills for the smallest thing.
  13. Stupid enough. Although i suppose there is nothing to protect in their skulls
  14. It will be a quicker u-turn than that. within 12 months like the 60 days waiver. clowns
  15. So, the results of the review of the 60 days waiver was to have another review. Good old Thailand. Thais love not making decisions. I think most Thais wouldn't ring the fire brigade if their house was on fire, until their house actually burnt to the ground.
  16. Tourism is down globally. So, why do Thailand think they’re any different?
  17. What I never get about these drug mules is they’re only ever doing it for peanuts as well. I'd never even entertain the idea no matter how broke I was but hypothetically I’d want a bag of cash to do it.
  18. Long stay russians... well they won't be long stay for much longer if they scrap the 60 days waiver
  19. Must be the first article that hasn't blamed the 60 days waiver on the trouble🙌
  20. Of course it's the Thai way to leave everything and any information till the last minute. Thais wouldn't ring the fire brigade till their house was burnt to the ground.
  21. This happens in almost every country at any given time. And will keep happening, it's not unusual or anything out of the ordinary. boys will be boys
  22. Have you been out recently? the place is rammed . mainly russians which is a shame, but it's far from quiet.
  23. Exactly what i was thinking. I'll just go in there another day and hope i get staff who actually wanna do their jobs, which could be hard to find in Thailand.
