  1. Just an update and thanks to you guys for all the help and tips! Finally I got my LTR WP visa. I was approved a few weeks ago, but as I don’t stay in Thailand the procedure was stalled. When I finally arrived on a tourist stamp, I updated my information: address of hotel and updated PDF of my passport and entry stamp. Next day I could make an appointment on the website. I chose next business day, 8:30. That was fast! When I arrived, everything was easy and smooth. Just don’t forget to print out all required documents from the listing. I almost forgot one document but could do the print out at the hotel. I payed the 50.000 Baht fee in cash. Officer counted by hand. I got a receipt, and my attendant cut the queue so that my visa issuance was faster than expected. There are lots of other foreigners waiting for other visas. The whole procedure took less than 90 minutes. Officers for LTR visas are exceptionally friendly and speak very good English.
  2. Thanks guys. Surprised that no card is possble. OK, cash is king. Not a big problem.
  3. Question on payment for LTR wealthy pensioner: Can I pay the 50000 Baht with my international credit card? Or is it better to bring cash? I don't have a Thai bank account yet and therefore no QR Code app.
  4. Thats exactly what I'm doing. I got approved already. In a few weeks I will enter with visa exemption, upload my passport and hotel address and make an appointment to pick up my visa.
  5. Thanks guys, I believe I understand the procedure now. Problem is their software doesn't give any clue what is wrong or what you have to do. Either you fill out everything, or you cannot proceed. Perhaps my case is somewhat unusual. As I have no visa and I'm not in Thailand, I'm supposed to get the LTR at the embassy. Which I want to avoid. I will now fly to Thailand on a tourist visa exemption, will immediately upload my passport with the stamps and fill out everything on the website: Date of entry, what kind of visa, how long permitted, address in Thailand etc. I hope I can get an appointment soon after without waiting. "In case the applicant choses to have LTR visa issued at One Stop Center for Visa and Work Permit (OSS) in Bangkok, the applicant will be required to update latest travel information and upload passport pages with all Thai stamps (The file must be scanned both left and right pages per one sheet AND ALL SHEETS MERGED IN ONE PDF FILE), particularly biodata page..."
  6. Thanks again! But it doesn't work. I uploaded a second copy of my passport, same as before as my passport is new and has no stamps. I believe I must upload the passport again after I have arrived in Thailand with the stamps. I updated the hotel information. Submit. Logout and login again: Hotel information has disappeared, everything I entered is not there. Only the uploaded documents are still there. The section "Latest travel information into Thailand" is still not filled out. Maybe that's what they are missing. Not sure if I should just wait if something happens. Application seems to be stalled in state "qualification approved" (Step 5). No way to make an appointment (next stage).
  7. Thanks @Pib. That makes sense to me. Now I still have a problem: I uploaded two minor documents which I signed and scanned. But it seems they also want to have my address in Thailand and visa stamps of my passport. I cannot proceed further, cannot submit the form. Of course I'm not in Thailand, so I have no stamps and no address either. I plan to arrive next month on a visa exemption stamp, stay at a hotel and receive the LTR visa in Bangkok. Does this mean, my application is now stalled until I actually arrive in Thailand?
  8. Question to all successful LTR Visa holders: I just got my LTR-WP visa endorsed. It wasn't that easy but finally success. Seems the rest of the procedure is quite easy. I'm at the moment outside of Thailand and do not have any visa. I plan to enter next month on a visa free tourist stamp and get my LTR visa in Bangkok. Any problems with that? From what I believe, the tourist stamp will be cancelled and a 5 year LTR permit stamped instead. Correct? As I'm married with a Thai woman, it seems I have to present or upload marriage certificate and a copy of her ID card. Do I need to bring the original certificates or is it sufficient to bring copies? Any other hints for finalising the LTR visa? Thanks for your answers!
  9. Hi folks, i need some help with LTR Wealthy Pensioners application with non English documentation. I applied already, uploaded necessary documents (bank statements for capital income and pension statement). Now they ask for additional documents: "Please provide individual income tax return(2023)" So I send them my tax return of 2023, with some explanation in English. Problem is: I'm German citizen and the German tax system is probably the most complicated in the world. And of course the tax office here communicates in German language. The document I sent them was 2 pages of small print, with a lot of numbers, income here, deduction here, deduction there. 99% of locals here would not understand it too. So as I have expected, the officer doesn't accept the statement I sent them: "The document must be in English and certified by translation institute" This is almost impossible to do. Even if a well qualified translator would translate this, probably for hundreds of $, the result would be incomprehensible for anyone except a qualified tax consultant. How did you handle this situation if you are not from an English speaking country? Thanks for all replies.
