  1. No traffic enforcement generally in Thailand and we don't know who is at fault. Even Thais will tell you and have posted you tube advice that no one in Thailand respects designated crosswalks even if there is one clearly marked. I've seen Thais even drive through red light crosswalks when people are crossing. The court will decide.
  2. Inattention, sleep, medical issue, no brakes, not paying attention and thought he'd go through the blue M-pass entry but couldn't? Many possibilities.
  3. Use this link https://www.worldlifeexpectancy.com/cause-of-death/road-traffic-accidents/by-country/ to find actual statistics. The worst countries are mainly African. Thailand is #47 on the list of fatalities per 100,000 ppl. India #90, China #96 although in those countries many people don't have access to vehicles, and probably under report. USA # 120, Australia #158, Germany #170, UK #173. All out of 183 listed.
